Remember, you can reuse these in 2011 and save time on registration. FOXWOOD NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AUGUST RIDDLE... Feed me and I live. Give me a drink and I die. What am I? Want to know the answer? Visit : This is that time again to meet your neighbors, the settled in and the newbies to the bunch. The big day of National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, October 5th at 6-7:30 pm at the Foxwood clubhouse. We will have food catered in for everyone to enjoy on this special outing. Activities include fingerprinting for kids, treat bags, police car and fire truck viewing for the kids to enjoy. Come meet the Board Members and enjoy the community of great folks in our neighborhood. Hope to see you at this year s event!
2 P a g e 2 W h a t i s t h e f o x w o o d p h o n e l i n e? Confused on what the Foxwood Phone line is for? This phone line is open to the original sections of Foxwood only. It is not an office but an answering service. Leaving a message will mean that someone will call you within hours. The phone number for this line is If you need to talk to someone immediately, please contact Susan Franz of Consolidated Management at If your call is an EMERGENCY, CALL 911. This event has been a great success every year, with lots of interesting things to buy and sell amongst fellow neighbors. C o m m u n i t y g a r a g e s a l e The Fall Community Garage Sale will take place on November 6. This event takes place twice a year. This is when all residents take out all of their unwanted belongings to make a profit. Our advertising will be promoted in a few community papers in the local area. This should bring in a good amount of buyers as experienced in the past. We will also post the large banner at the entry way of Foxwood. We have had a great feedback regarding the volume of traffic throughout the day and great sales. So get ready for the big day, brush up your negotiating skills, and let s get ready to make some money! J o i n o u r t e a m Cast your vote this year on the official Board Members of Foxwood. This annual meeting will take place on Thursday, September 9 at 7pm. This meeting is held at the Foxwood clubhouse and all residents have the opportunity to vote for all running candidates. We currently have positions available; we need to have a certain percentage of homeowners in order to hold the election. Residents will be receiving a proxy in the mail; please cast your vote, sign, and return your proxy to CMS or give to a current board member. If a resident does not want to mail their proxy, he or she may attend the meeting and vote in person. Questions can be addressed to Susan Franz, CMS at

These services include: Community center classes, programs, and activities Educational and recreational activities Information, referral, and outreach services Special events including free and discounted tickets Transportation to day trip locations Precinct 4 partners with over 400 senior adult groups including churches, civic associations, gardening clubs, and community service organizations. The groups participants (ages 50 and older) enjoy a variety of ongoing activities such as festivals, museums, plays, concerts, theatrical and sporting venues, and day trip destinations within a 150-mile radius from Houston. For more information, please call the Senior Adult Program at (281) Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Source: A l d i n e i n d e p e n d e n t s c h o o l d i s t r i c t a d o p t s t a x r a t e 06/09/2010 ALDINE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE; AND THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 10% PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $ The adopted tax rate exceeds the district s current M&O rate by $.13 cents. Because the M&O portion of the approved tax rate exceeds the district s compressed rate, the district is required to hold an election to obtain voter approval for the adopted rate. Following Dr. Clark s recommendation, Superintendent Dr. Wanda Bamberg recommended to the Board that it call for a tax ratification election. The Texas tax code requires that school districts that adopt a tax rate that exceeds the district s rollback rate must hold a tax ratification election to approve the adopted tax rate. Board members approved Dr. Bamberg s recommendation and set the tax ratification election for Tuesday, Aug. 31.
