1 MAKING VIDEO WORK AS-A-SERVICE
2 THE CHALLENGE A Changing Video Environment Video communication has become a vital application in most large businesses and government agencies, increasing collaboration and productivity. No longer a formal conference with expensive rooms, people now connect from any location, at any time, with a broadening array of applications and hardware platforms. The increased video usage between traditional offi ces and remote employees who work on their own mobile devices, combined with expectations for better quality and ease of use, presents several critical challenges: How to procure and deploy suffi cient capacity to support demand spikes and overall growth at agreed service levels for each geographic region, while remaining within IT budget guidelines? How to keep infrastructure current with updates to existing applications and integrating new applications? How to maintain IT staff with the right skills to support video conferencing infrastructure for global operations? Interoperability between telepresence rooms, mobile devices, desktop systems and more. THE SOLUTION Yorktel VideoCloud offers a variety of options to meet the requirements of any company s environment and access needs. Whether an open network or a secure one, managed or self-service, our solutions, professional expertise and global infrastructure ensure you get the big picture. We simplify the complexities of multi-source video.
3 The Yorktel VideoCloud Services Portfolio provides three models, each offering a distinct solution to the challenges arising from the constantly evolving, ever-growing video conferencing environments impacting organizations of all sizes. ENTERPRISE-CLASS VIDEO CONFERENCING-AS-A-SERVICE The Yorktel VideoCloud is a comprehensive cloud-based videoconferencing service that enables businesses to leverage Yorktel s global hosted video infrastructure in lieu of purchasing costly infrastructure or to augment existing internal capabilities. AFFORDABLE Eliminates expensive capital expenditures (CAPEX) for video conferencing infrastructure with a single monthly cost (OPEX) per room or per user. GLOBAL, RELIABLE, SCALABLE Incorporates best-in-class network and video bridging infrastructure from leading manufacturers, located in secure data centers in North America, Europe and Asia. Supporting customers in 84 Countries. FLEXIBLE, INTEROPERABLE Enables multiple levels of connectivity ranging from standard H.323/SIP video conferencing rooms, desktop and mobile conferencing clients to Lync Federation and telepresence systems interoperability. Yorktel VideoCloud supports full Microsoft Lync and Office 365 integration. Any Microsoft Lync clients, including those using enterprise on-premise Lync server or Microsoft Office 365, can use VideoCloud to connect to videoconference systems from Cisco, Polycom, Avaya/Radvision, Lifesize, and others. VIDEOCLOUD VIRTUAL MEETING ROOM A reservation-less, on-demand video conferencing service The VideoCloud Virtual Meeting Room (VC-VMR) is a Self-Service VMR that is licensed on a per-user Account basis. It enables the VMR Account Owner to instantly launch multipoint ad hoc meeting without going through a formal scheduling process. Any H.323 or SIP compliant desktop, room or mobile video conferencing client can participate. As easy-to-setup and join as a voice conference call In order to engage with participants, a VC-VMR owner simply sends an message, IM session or calendar invite with the VMR information and PIN number to the attendees. Participants simply copy and paste this into their desktop or mobile client and enter the PIN number to join the meeting. The VMR requires the owner to enter their personal Moderator PIN to keep their VMR secure.
4 VIDEOCLOUD MANAGED CONFERENCING SERVICE Fully Managed Conferencing Services without Purchasing Infrastructure VideoCloud Managed Conferencing Service (VC- MCS) provides cloud-based video conferencing bridging, call control, and management to support multipoint room video conferencing without the expense of purchasing, maintaining and managing costly video infrastructure. VC-MCS includes a suite of services to ensure that important group meetings are successful. Yorktel Video Managed and Cloud Services offer new choices that are swiftly deployed, customizable and can scale as needed. Eliminate CAPEX and contain OPEX, while enhancing capabilities that encourage collaboration and increase operational effi ciency. Video Network Operations Center (VNOC) Yorktel s world-class, multi-lingual VNOC operates 7x24x365 to ensure a reliable, consistent user experience across all platforms and all geographies. The management of your video conferencing system, including scheduling, launching, troubleshooting, monitoring, and much more, lets your team focus on getting more done with video and less on the technology. On-site staffi ng also available. Reservations and Scheduling When a meeting is scheduled it reserves all participating conference rooms. At the time of the meeting, the call is launched to all conference rooms. Proactive Monitoring Proactive monitoring of all video conferencing rooms ensures that important meetings are not delayed or disrupted by the failure of equipment. VNOC engineers will resolve the problem remotely or dispatch a service technician to rooms under Yorktel maintenance contracts. Incident Management If there is a problem with any part of the service, it is followed to resolution through a clearly defi ned process. A web portal provides clients with real time access to this information. Performance to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) In order to ensure the highest quality standards for the video conferencing experience, SLAs defi ne the performance metrics by which the video conferencing service is governed. User Experience Detailed Reporting Detailed reports are provided in real time through a customer web portal. These reports include conference statistics, success metrics, environmental impact, and performance to SLAs to help you ensure that you are achieving the maximum ROI for your video conferencing program. Our team can also assist with user adoption programs to boost your ROI further. ALIGN YOUR VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS WITH BUSINESS OBJECTIVES Yorktel s Proven Approach to Video Managed Services liberates customers from having to support multiple communications platforms and security protocols by instead choosing a single solution for a cohesive, customized user experience. Reduce the Impact of Multi-vendor, Multi-platform Integration on Capital, Technical and Human Resources. YORKTEL VIDEO MANAGED SERVICES NOT ONLY CONTAIN COSTS Hassle-Free, Scalable, Best-of- Breed Rollout Empower Mobile Workforce with Video. 5 CONNECTING BUSINESSES Any Device. Anywhere. Any Network. VIDEOCLOUD B2B SERVICE UCC Interoperability. Easy-to-Use. Secure Connectivity. Business-to-Business conferencing is now a requisite for companies to collaborate with other companies on projects ranging from product development to mergers and acquisitions. The challenge is connecting to these meetings in a manner that satisfi es the security requirements of the IT departments for each participating company. Without VideoCloud B2B Service, obtaining IT permission to make an offcorporate network call typically involves a complex set of tasks that must be orchestrated across multiple departments and technology teams. An extension of the managed corporate video conferencing environment VideoCloud B2B Service (VC-B2B) enables a company to schedule and host external, inter-company video conference meetings as easily as scheduling an internal one. When the host company is a Yorktel Managed Conferencing Service customer, it s as easy as scheduling internal conference room through Outlook. A secure solution The VC-B2B Service is secure for all participants because it is an outbound call for each company. The neutral meeting space hosted on the Yorktel VideoCloud is PIN protected and not reused. Once the meeting is over, the room no longer exists. Making the connection The host company schedules a video conference meeting as usual with a request to add an external third party. The Yorktel VNOC sets up the internal call on the host company s (or Yorktel s) MCU as usual. The external company is sent a meeting invite with a SIP or IP address and PIN to join the meeting. At the scheduled meeting time, the host company rooms are launched as normal and the internal bridge is connected into a neutral meeting space where the external companies can dial-in for the meeting. When the meeting is over, the neutral meeting space and PIN are deactivated to maintain privacy for all parties. Need More Reason to Choose Yorktel VideoCloud? Yorktel VideoCloud offers a better room-based experience and integrates well with existing enterprise environment Yorktel VideoCloud can connect directly to an enterprise private MPLS network for added security and full QoS operation Yorktel VideoCloud is carrier network agnostic and can connect one private MPLS network to another MPLS network residing on another carrier Yorktel VideoCloud is supported by Yorktel s World-Class VNOC and Service Desk that currently manages over 16,000 endpoints in 84 countries Yorktel has the widest range of add on service offerings for maintenance through to concierge call launching and onsite staffi ng.
