Dr. Martinez-Moyano s research focuses on the application and theoretical development of system dynamics modeling and computer simulation to advancing the theories and understanding of human judgment, decision making, and behavior in complex and dynamic systems, particularly in high uncertainty security systems. Ignacio s current research projects include work related to aviation security, energy efficiency in buildings, modeling strategic contexts, and understanding the cognitive processing of accumulation. Dr. Martinez-Moyano is Editor of a special issue of the System Dynamics Review on Modeling and Simulation of Terrorism and Insurgency Movements: Methods, Data, and associated Challenges and has published in academic journals such as Organization Science, the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation, Computers & Security, the System Dynamics Review, Government Information Quarterly, and the Journal of Public Affairs Education.
