With the combination of a state-of-the-art 300mm clean room and the transition to 450mm, supported by the Flemish government, imec will be able to keep on delivering its partners top notch research on (sub)-10nm devices. Imec also has on-site bio-medical labs and PV R&D and pilot line. Infrastructure is fully owned by and under control of imec management, which allows efficient and effective decision making.

37 MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT In March 2012, the Government of Flanders announced the signature of a new frame agreement with imec. This new agreement follows a very positive evaluation that imec received last year after an in-depth audit by external consultants under the authority of the Government of Flanders and of an analysis of imec s business plan This evaluation proved imec s top position in its research areas and the fact that imec strenghtened this position during the last five years. According to the evaluation, imec is well positioned to maintain its leading role in the next frame agreement period.
