ROLL CALL ADJOURNMENT TO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING PERSONNEL AND LEGAL MATTERS. During the course of this meeting, the Milford may enter into Executive Session to consider student disciplinary cases, personnel matters, or strategy with respect to collective bargaining or pending or potential litigation, pursuant to 29 Delaware Code, Section MOTION MADE BY MR. ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS CORRESPONDENCE Milford High School received a letter from the Blood Bank of Delmarva for their support of 74 pints of blood collected. Lincoln Property Subdivision MOTION MADE BY MRS. WILEY/SECONDED BY MR. P. EMORY to approve the subdivision and sale of the house on the Lincoln property. Milford School District will maintain 5+ acres. SUPERINTENDENT REPORTS Reports, Newsletters and Minutes Presented for Information Ross Elementary Newsletter, August 2013 Banneker Newsletter, September 9, 2013 Morris Newsletter, September 2013 Mispillion Newsletter, September 2013 The Journal of the National Association of State Boards of Education Two students from the Milford School District were on the front cover of the August 2013 edition of The Journal of the National Association of State Boards of Education.

3 October 28, 2013 Page 3 Advantech Presentation on Current Operating Systems Lee Thompson, Advantech, gave a presentation on the current operating systems with regards to cameras and security. The first option he presented was $8,950 to upgrade. The second option was $48,500 which was much more involved with upgrades. The second option could be trimmed down to $37,500. All the cameras would be converted to IP video in the future. A service plan would cost approximately $350 per month per site. APEX Learning Dr. Kohel reported the district will be using APEX Learning starting November This will replace Twilight. APEX is for grades 6 through 12 and can be used for homebound, summer school, and any course the district does not offer including AP courses. Students will need to have a computer and internet access and will have 24/7 with support. Writing lessons are incorporated in this program. Assessments will have to be taken in the school by the student. Referendum We are still waiting for the information regarding the Certificate of Need from OMB for the new middle school. Dr. Kohel has put an additional heading on the website titled Referendum with questions and progress of this project. Bay Health donation Dr. Kohel thanked Bay Health for donating approximately 65 notebooks for our students. Ag Barn Update The Ag Barn is moving forward. INSTRUCTION AND STUDENT PROGRAMS 2013 DCAS Data Review Mr. Moorman presented a power point with data pertaining to the DCAS testing in the schools. Athletic Report Mr. Tkach reported there has been good representation at the football and soccer games. He also reported on the other fall sports and their progress. BUSINESS MOTION MADE BY MR. P. SCHANNE to accept the Revenue and Expense Reports for August 31, (See page 46 of minutes) Mrs. Korosec informed everyone the Citizen s Budget Oversight Committee will be meeting on October 23, 2013, at 6 PM in the Middle School Boardroom. WILEY to table the bid proposal for the sign from East Coast Signs. It was requested to get 2 more bids and find a standard buccaneer design. Ag Barn Fire Arm Electric Bid MOTION MADE BY MR. FRY/SECONDED BY MR. RUST to approve the Electric bid for the fire alarm in the amount of $24, from Taylor Electric Service, Inc. (See page 47 of minutes) Ag Barn Electric Bid for Voice/Data Cabling and PA Wiring MOTION MADE BY MR. FRY/SECONDED BY P. EMORY to approve the Electric bid for Voice/Data Cabling and PA Wiring in the amount of $6, from Taylor Electric Service, Inc. (See page of 48 minutes) Potential Minor Cap Projects Dr. Stevenson spoke with all the principals and developed potential Minor Cap Projects for the buildings. ADJOURNMENT MOTION MADE BY MR.
