Yoruba and Igbo (ii) Five TC II merit with at least a pass passes including in O/L English and Mathematics. Mathematics. (ii) NCE passes at merit level in the subjects listed above. Any three of Lit. in English, History, French, Geography/Physics, Economics and Mathematics. DIRECT ENTRY: (i) PHC - No Direct Entry. (ii) BENIN requires 2 merit passes in NCE including Business method (Social Studies, Secretarial Education major) plus 3 O/L credit passes including English Language at one sitting. (iii) BAUCHI accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience). (iv) TASUED accepts Two 'A' level passes/nce Credit/Merit passes from Economics, Accounting & Business Management or HND in Secretarial Administration with Upper Credit. Also accepts NABTEB, NBC/NTC Certificate is acceptable. UTME: (i) IAUED accepts WAEC (commercial RSA II) Cert. in 5 subjects including English Language. Does not require a credit pass in Economics. (ii) BENIN requires Economics or Commerce but does not accept Principles of Accounts, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties. UTME. SUBJECTS: (i) IAUED accepts Arts subjects. (ii) OOU and BENIN requires Economics or Commerce and any two other Arts or Social Science subjects. 191

National Certificate of Education with passes at merit level in two (2) major subjects in relevant areas. d. For B.Ed (Technology) Programme: Holders of National Certificate in Education, City and Guilds and National Business Certificate/ National Technical Certificate. (NBC/NTC) with advanced or merit level passes in relevant subjects. (v) EBSU accepts HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields. 195 UTME (i) NDU as in Accountancy for Business Management option. Accepts credit pass in Commerce or economics for Office Management Technology; credit Pass in Agri. Science or Biology for Agric. Education and Home Economics Education. (ii) EKSU accepts a pass in NCE General English in lieu of 'O' level credit pass in English Language. (iii) UNIOSUN requires Five SSCE Level credit passes in relevant subjects or its equivalent at not more than two sittings in addition to an acceptable pass in the UTME.
10 (iv) EBSU requires five credit passes For Technology Option: O' level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. For Agric Option: O 'level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agric Science and two other relevant subjects and at least a pass in Chemistry. (v) AAU accepts a pass in Mathematics for Secretarial Education. (vi) ESUTECH requires: a) For Technical credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and three other relevant subjects. b) For Accounting/Commerce and Cooperative credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and Principle of Accounts, plus three other relevant subjects. c) For Agriculture credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Geography and two other relevant subjects. (ii) NDU - As in Agric. Economics for Agric. Education and Home Economics options. (iii) BSU accepts any three of Mathematics or Physics and any two of Chemistry, Geography, Technical Drawing, Wood Work, Metal Work, Building Technology or Electrical Technology.

(EKSU- Mathematics only). CALABAR accepts NCE with credit or merit passes in Chemistry and one other subjects. (ii) EKSU, MINNA, MAUTY, BENIN, DELSU, OAU and UNN, accept NCE in Science subjects. (iii) RSUST, MINNA and MAUTY accept NCE with at least a merit pass and ND/HND with at least lower credit. (v) LAGOS accepts: (a) Very good passes in the following JUPEB subjects: Chemistry, Physics, and Biology and O/Level requirements for Direct Entry. (b) NCE with credit/merit in Chemistry and any other science subject. (vi) EKSU and JOS accept 'O' level credit in Mathematics and English language. (a) minimum of merit pass at NCE (b) pass in General English at NCE as equivalent to 'O' level credit in English. (c) JOS does not accept NCE Integrated Science. (vii) IMSU accepts NCE (merit) in Education and the two subjects to be combined with education into 300 levels and below merit into 200 levels. IMSU requires at least a pass in English Language. (ix) EDZAR accepts candidates for D/E only. (x) EDKAN does not accept Integrated Science for Chemistry. (xi) ADSU same as in Biology Education. (xii) BAUCHI accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience). (xiv) EDZAR requires three A' level passes in NCE including Chemistry. (xv) EDZAR requires NCE in Chemistry and one other 197

(xxiii) UNN accepts (a) ND in other areas at distinction, credit or merit level who possess the University Minimum entry requirement plus credit in the teaching subject may be considered for direct entry admission but will run the 4-Year programme.
