1 Academic Staff Profile - Science Education Department Prof. (Mrs.) Mogbo, Irene N. is a Nigerian, born in Awka, Anambra State. Schooled and worked in Anambra, Kaduna and Niger State. Presently a Professor of Science Education, Guidance and Counseling. I have to my credit many National and International Publications and awards. To date she has published so many books and journals in her field. Academic/Interest: Her researches and academic interest includes Science Education, guidance and counseling, for effective teaching and learning, Instructional strategies and e-learning, Open and distant learning. (Education) in 1981 from ABU Zaria and M.Ed in 1984 from ABU Zaria and PhD from ABU Zaria in 1993 respectively She started her working career in IAR Zaria as technical staff. Now a professor of Science Education with many international and national publications with many awards to her credit. Academic/Interest: Research interest in area of construction and instructional strategy. She loves reading and enjoy sports. Eli S. Gana PhD, Nigerian, born Doko-Lavun LGA of Niger State. My education career was in Bida, Zaria, MSU/USA and Ibadan. Now senior lecturer of Educational Technology, and supervision these level categories of students research projects undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, masters, and Ph.D students. Research interest is in the area of Educational Technology. Loves technical construction, football and gymnastic exercise, expedition. He authored and co-authored many books and journals o date. Dr. Gambari has authored and co-authored many research journal articles, books and conference proceedings in many national and international journals. [email protected] Dr. Eunice Olakanmi, PhD holds a B.Tech in Chemistry Education from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria; a Master of Arts Degree in ICT and Education from University of Leeds, UK, a Master of Research Degree in Educational Technology and a PhD degree in Educational Technology both from the Open University, UK. She started her career as a class teacher in Kwara state before travelling to the UK for further studies. Her research interests lies in the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) or e-learning multidisciplinary domain, where there is a cross feeding between computer and education. She is especially interested in supporting learners with metacognitive behaviours when learning in computer supported collaborative learning (CSCL) environment and also in investigating the collaboration between learners as well as the interaction between them and technology learning environments. Dr. Eunice Olakanmi joined Federal University of Technology Minna in June 2012 as a Lecturer II. She has many publications to her credit. [email protected] Nnofuechi Andrew Oyedum, PhD was in Neni, Anaocha L.G.A of Anambra State. He had most of his education from A.B.U., Zaria. Worked in College of Education, Minna before he joined the services of the Federal University of Technology, Minna as Lecturer in Physics and Science Education. Now a Senior Lecturer in the department of Science Education. He has published so many books and journals in his area of specialisation. Research on use of local resources in teaching, photography, construction and validation of models for teaching sciences in schools. He has many publications to his credit. His research interest is in the area of Mathematics Education. Gimba Ramatu W. is a Nigerian, born in Doko but hails from Kaduna State. She attended Niger State College of Education, Minna and had her B.Ed from ABU, Zaria. Worked with Niger state Government under ministry of Education. She is a Lecturer I in Science Education department with many publications to her credit. Her research interest is in the area of effective CAI package in Junior Secondary School student achievement in mathematics. [email protected] CHADO, AMINA M. Nigerian, born in Kano but hails from Doko. She attended Niger State College of Education, Minna and had her B.Ed from ABU, Zaria. Worked with Niger state Government under ministry of Education. She is a Lecture I in Science Education department with many publications to her credit. Presently, she is working on her PhD in the University of Ibadan. Worked at Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State and worked as an Assistant Lecturer in Assanusiyyah College of Education, Ode-Omu, Osun State before joining Federal University of Technology Minna as an Assistant Lecturer. Had his first degree and masters degree from Uzman Danfodio University, Sokoto in Science Education (Biology) with several publications in Biology Education and Computer technologies. Have many awards to his credit and currently a PhD student. [email protected] Gana Celina Shitnan was born in Kaduna but hails from Plateau State. She obtained her first degree in Physics Education with Mathematics option, masters degree in Applied Geophysics from Federal University of Technology, Minna. She is now a Lecturer in the department of science education, FUT Minna. Have few awards to her credit and presently working on her PhD. Mrs. Gana has participated in several Open Distance Learning workshop and she is presently the CODeL co-ordinator in the department of science education. [email protected] Yaki Akawo Angwal is a Nigeria from the Federal Capital Tertiary. He had his first degrees from the Federal University of Technology, Minna and master degree from University of Abuja. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Science Education of Federal University of Technology, Minna. His research interest is in Computer Assisted Instructional strategy.
6 Alabi Thomas Omotayo Nigerian, born in Jos hails from Kabba Kogi State. He obtained his first and masters degree from the Federal University of Technology, Minna. Research interest in area of Teacher Education television Media and Instructional materials in ICT. He is on the concluding part of PhD programme. Alabi loves sports and have published good numbers of National and International Journals to date. He has attended many conferences and workshops with many awards to his credit. Moh d Baba Gana Nigerian, born in Sakpe, Edati Local Government Area of Niger State. He obtained his first degree in Education from the University of Abuja. He has worked as a classroom teacher in several schools in Niger state before he joined the services of the Federal University of Technology, Minna. Academic Interest: Research in area of Science Education and instructional strategy. Gana loves travelling and reading. He is presently working on his PhD. He has published many books and journals on modern teaching. [email protected]. Umeh Okonkwo Ebele Ann is Nigerian from Ukpo in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
