Many corporations sailing through centuries have fallen flat. If we analyze reasons behind it, we will see lack of values as one of the major reasons. We have come up with Shashwat Institute of Business Management to provide the much needed value based management education. India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and has performed much better as compared to developed economies during the recent economic crisis. With increased business activities, growing size of Indian business corporations and developing economy, there is a great demand of effective business leaders. 11 About the PGDM program: Post Graduate Diploma in Management, PGDM, is a two years full-time residential program with 26 courses (refer to the course list) and research projects to be covered during the program. The specializations offered are Marketing, Human Resources, Finance and International Business. Our PGDM program is designed in such a way that students will be ready to deliver in their respective fields of working as soon as they pass the program. The unique features are updated curriculum, faculty from industry and academia with lot of international experience, job oriented certificate courses, soft-skills training through finishing school component and foreign language learning. Unique features of our PGDM Program : A. Job Oriented Certificate Courses : Along with our PGDM program, students will have an option to take up one or more short term job oriented courses to further enhance their skills in a specific industry/domain. These courses are designed as top-ups to the basic PGDM courses. The aim is to provide cutting edge industry specific training at the campus when they are in job. These courses being provided side-by-side of PGDM courses won t demand additional six months or a year from students and also help command higher packages at time of placement. The courses planned to be offered are as follows. However, the exact courses offered will depend on number of students opting a particular courses and operational feasibility. 1. SAP Trainig : Complete overview of all the different modules of world No. 1 ERP package SAP. This course will be very useful for students who wish to make a career with consulting firms and in software industry. 2. IRDS Certification : With growth in insurance industry, there is a great demand of insurance professionals with sound management training. This course will provide an edge to students by familiarizing with insurance industry term, rules & regulations governing insurance operation in the country. 3. SAS/SPSS Based Analytics Course : India is clearly dominating the world analytics market due to supplier mathematical training and brains. This course aims of helping students make a career in highlypaid and respected data analytics program. 4. Equity Research Course : Indian stock markets are among the best performers amongst all world markets. It has a witnessed a huge amount of foreign investment flow in last year and is expected to get more money in future. Various global investment bankers like Bank of America (BOA Merrill Lynch), Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citigroup and Deutsche bank are already strengthening their India focus and looking for equity research experts. Also there is a huge demand for equity researchers from Indian mutual funds, banks and stock broking firms. 5. Business and Market Research Course : 11

12 The demand for trained researchers is increasing rapidly in last 3-4 years due to rise of KPO industry. India is largest player in KPO Market and there are about 10,000 researchers employed in this high-paying industry. The annual demand is estimated at about 2000 persons. By taking up this course, a student can expect a lateral entry position with good salary in large MNC s like Evaluesevlve, Genpact, McKinsey, Accenture and Dunnhunby. 6. Retail Management: The course focuses on marketing and merchandising aspects in retail industry. The students will appreciate the unique challenges faced by organized retailness in the country and will get trained to overcome those challenges. Real Estate Marketing : With booming real estate market in India, the demand for professional marketers, who are well-versed with technicalities of real estate business is increasing. The course will provide knowledge of real estate business, term & jargons, rules & regulation besides an opportunities to make a career in one of the fastest growing industry in India. The jobs can be expected with companies like DLF, Unitech, Shobha Developers, L & T, Praj Industries, Jaypee Group. B. Finishing School Elements: The institute has taken innovative approach by incorporating concepts of finishing school elements in its PGDM program, (some are optional to students). The objective is to bridge the gap between what industry expects from a management graduate and what is provided at campus. A Bachelor degree (10+2+3) or equivalent from recognized University in any discipline (students appearing for their final year examinations can also apply*) 2.
