2 PIV Scheduler Tool This slide deck was created to provide a heads up and quick overview of the PIV Scheduler Tool to the Education Staff of VHA The links in the presentation are only active when viewed as a Slide Show Specific questions about the tool should be addressed to HSPD 12

3 PIV Scheduler This tool is still in development though a number of sites are using it now Nationwide deployment is scheduled for July 1, 2013 It s use will be required for all appointments Walk in appointments will no longer be allowed at sites using the PIV Scheduler, if the PIV Scheduler shows a full schedule Appointments cannot be made within less than a 24 hour period (e.g. you cannot schedule an appointment for today) The screenshots are all from May 1, 2013, 9:00am Eastern. The final deployment will likely have some changes in the screens We do not know if the current URL will be the permanent web address for this tool piv.com/ Any guidance provided in this slide deck is based on our understanding today, but is subject to change by HSPD 12

4 VA PIV Appointment Scheduling Tool Information from HSPD 12 website HSPD 12 Communication December 19, 2012 PIV Badge Office Locations with note of PIV Scheduling Tool availability From PIV Project homepage Universal PIV Scheduling Tool The HSPD 12 PMO is pleased to announce that the VA s new Universal PIV Scheduling Tool has been successfully launched to support various facilities, including VACO, participating in it's pilot. Once rolled out across all PCI Facilities, PIV Applicants will be able to schedule appointments for PIV credentialing. Some facilities will also use the tool to schedule fingerprinting appointments for background investigation purposes. 10 Registration E mail Users who need a fingerprint can use the tool to make an appointment. Note that the language in the second sentence may confuse trainees into thinking they cannot use the tool.

13 Select Zip Code to See Nearby Sites, or Select Specific Facility from Drop menu

14 Select Activity to Schedule from Drop menu

15 Note that all Levels of PIV Badges are Called PIV Badge in Drop menu. Before PIV & Non PIV Badge Appointment SACs must be adjudicated MTT completed/rob signed Active Directory account established NACI initiated (if required) Trainee Sponsored in PIV Portal Show up with valid IDs for badge issuance For Remote Fingerprints You must provide your Facility SOI and SON numbers to the Trainee. During fingerprinting they will be asked for those numbers. For Non PIV Badges select appropriate action: New Re issue Renewal Lost, Stolen or Damaged

17 Select Time of Day for Appointment then Click CONTINUE Button

18 On Screen Confirmation of Appointment. Click either CANCEL or CONFIRM You will receive an Confirming your appointment or Confirming your cancellation

19 Notice that an Appointment has been Successfully Confirmed You may now either Cancel the Appointment or Modify the Appointment.
