3 SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR CERTIFICATE PROGRAM The System Administrator Certificate Program provides intensive, hands-on instruction to qualified students to become proficient in the Education Logistics software programs suite, and project management, data systems and mapping software skills. Graduates are qualified to manage complex projects that utilize Education Logistics programs. Fall semester Spring semester Geographic Info. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Admission to the System Administrator Program Certificate requires applicants to provide evidence of a completed Undergraduate (Bachelors) degree, with a GPA equivalent of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must show evidence of English language proficiency, with a minimum of 550 paper-based TOEFL, 80 internet-based TOEFL, or 6.0 IELTS. Students below the program s required proficiency level can participate in the University of Montana s Intensive English Language Program offered by its English Language Institute. Graduates are qualified to manage complex projects that utilize Education Logistics technology. Fall semester Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Operations Management Information and Data Systems Integrated Program Management Education Logistics software program course (EDULOG Routing and Planning or EDULOG GPS or EDULOG Web or EDULOG District Services and Support courses) 1 credit = 3 hours of instruction per week (45 hours per 15 week semester) Successful completion of this certificate earns the participant a total of 15 university credit hours. 5 Intensive English Language Preparation offered by the University of Montana s English Language Institute The University of Montana offers advanced intensive language preparation programs for students interested in pursuing the Project Specialist or System Administrator certificate programs whose English language proficiency score at the time the application is slightly below the admission requirements. Students study English at the English Language Institute (ELI) for 20 hours a week during the spring semester and 26 hours during the summer term. Students' classes include the study of all language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing, and understanding) as well as lessons in grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary development, cross-cultural issues and integrated skills.
