2 Sometimes a way of working is inefficient, costly even, but you don t even recognise it as a problem because you ve got so used to the way things are. Construction can be notoriously low-tech, but this was easy for us and for site managers. It just took away the things that were slowing us down and costing us money.

3 On site Missing assets cause delay on site. Whatever the reason lack of communication, the hoarding of key equipment by one team or unauthorised use by sub-contractors if a generator, mini-digger or anything else is not where it s needed, then time and money is wasted. If weather conditions or urgent work needed by a customer change schedules, locating assets required to complete work can be the difference between meeting an SLA and failing it. Unserviced assets pose greater challenges. Managing the regular maintenance of equipment at a distance is difficult. Faults aren t reported. Utilisation isn t tracked, making servicing intervals difficult to predict. That said: it wasn t until we applied the same principles of security, visibility and ROI to our equipment management, that had long been in place for our vehicles, that we realised the sheer size of the sums we could save.

5 Chances are your competitors work with us Security and location However far away you are from your assets, you ll know instantly if they move. Masternaut lets you create virtual security walls around each asset, or groups of assets. If an asset moves outside of this area, you can choose to receive an or on-screen notification. You can then choose to view exactly where that asset is, in real time. If you prefer, you can use a time-based security alert, which will communicate to you, by or onscreen, if some of your plant or machinery moves out of hours, for example between 8pm at night and 7am in the morning, or at weekends. The system is so flexible that you can set up as many different alerts as you wish, for different individual assets, or for groups of assets. Alerts can be sent to as few or many people as you wish, and you can choose to alert site security immediately, saving you valuable time. Recovering stolen assets becomes easy, since you ve got live, highly accurate information on the position of your equipment and machinery. Safety and compliance Operational effectiveness Masternaut has worked hard to ensure our asset tracking system offers greater value, in supporting compliance with health and safety legislation. With Masternaut managers of admins, can search for the closest resource to any asset, such as the closest mobile engineer, or the closest servicing depot. You can immediately identify assets for which: operator license inspection is mandatory, or for which appliance testing is due, or for which ATEX servicing is due. You can also search for the closest asset to any location so a site manager can find the closest power generator to his site, or any other piece of plant or asset you track with Masternaut. In the event of an HSE audit, you ll have a full trail automatically going right back to the day of installation.
