4 Quick Set-Up guide You need to have Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 installed on your PC. If you do not have this version installed then you will be promoted to install it when you try to view the web sites tracking console. Enter the following Url : You will have been issued a User ID and password when you called to activate your account. See the instructions above. User ID : Password : Once you have download Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, entered the Url and obtained your password from us, you will be able to log in. Once logged in you will see the main page. 4

5 The user Accounts are displayed on the left hand side of the page. You can view or hide the Accounts section by clicking on the Pushpin as can be seen By RIGHT HAND CLICKING on any folder under the Accounts section, you will then see the following options menu with 3 categories:- 1- Devices Where physical devices installed are managed and configured. 2- Reporting Where the system reports are generated. 3- Accounts Where accounts and users are managed. 5

6 Tracking your GPS Fleet You should log onto the main page and see a live update of where all your GPS Fleet trackers are. If you want to look at just one tracker then this is possible using the process below. 1. Clicking View Devices will display at a tabular list of all devices at the bottom of the Main Page as shown. This list will be automatically update with the latest location of the devices. 2. A selection menu will be displayed as shown. Tick the items that you wish to display and click Save. Left clicking on any rows on the Device List will centre the map and high light the position of the device with a circle Left clicking on any rows on the Device List will display further options available. 6

7 To see a Snail Trail of movement To see a Snail Trail of previous locations the quick way is to place your cursor over the live location pin show on the map for the tracker and RIGHT HAND CLICK the mouse. This menu will then appear. Select journey tracker, and then specify which day or period you want to view its movements. These will then appear on the screen with a written summary below the main map. 7

8 If the vehicle is still moving then a journey report cannot be complied for that journey. The report will only be complied once the journey is complete and the device shows an ignition off alert. If you want to see movements minute by minute on the current journey, then follow the process above, but rather then clicking on journey tracker as described above, simply click on analyse data which it the option just above. Specify the time periods you want to search and then view the live data. 8

9 Installation You can either using the cigarette connector attached to the wiring loom, or you can cut the cigarette adapter off and using the wiring loom to hardware install the device into a vehicle or asset. For hardware installation*:- The GPS Fleet is a two wire easy fit product designed for automotive installation. The product has an integrated high sensitivity GPS receiver with internal antennae for both GPRS/GSM and GPS in order to simplify the installation. Wiring Connection:- BLACK - Negative/GND RED - Switched Positive Supply Ignition ( 9-35 VDC) Cable Length - One Meter LEDs Power - ON when Power has been applied - GREEN Status - bicolour - RED - Always Flashing - Every second - SIM has NOT registered ( BAD GSM Coverage) - Every 4 seconds SIM has been registered on the Network Lock - GREEN - ON GPS Has a Valid Please note:- The LEDs will only be on if the device is powered on Ignition is ON. 9

10 Step 1: Always complete a vehicle Inspection Form prior to working on the vehicle. This will help to identify any vehicle defects and ensure that it is signed by the customer prior to working on the vehicle. Step 2: Always ensure that the unit is facing away from any metal with good signal visibility. The internal GSP and GSM antennae are facing up towards the top (Grey Part) of the unit. Step 3: Wire the unit to the vehicle ensuring that the connections are soldered. IMPORTANT: NEVER CUT ANY OF THE VEHCLE WIRING Step 4: Place the unit in the intended position ( DO NOT FIX) and Turn the Ignition ON. Monitor the unit LEDs for Power and Status- It may take a few minutes for GPS lock and Network Registration. Step 5: Once Satisfied the unit has a GPS Lock and Registered on the GSM network, fix the unit to the Vehicle in its position and tidy up any excessive cables with cable ties. Reposition the unit if necessary. Step 6: Clear and tidy up any marks and loose cabling from the vehicle and return the vehicle to its original state. Step 7: Complete the Installation Completion Form and ensure that the form is signed by the customer prior to leaving the premises.
