2 HRMP Human Resource Management Professional The Human Resource Management Professional (HRMP ) is a globally relevant credential that is designed to validate management-level core HR knowledge and skills. The credential demonstrates mastery of generally accepted HR principles in strategy and policy development as well as service delivery. Independent of geographic region, the credential complements local HR practices. Through demonstrated knowledge, the credential enhances the credibility of HR professionals and the organizations they serve. Eligibility Requirements A minimum of 4 years of professional-level experience in an HR position with a Master's degree or global equivalent, OR A minimum of 5 years of professional-level experience in an HR position with a Bachelor's degree or global equivalent, OR A minimum of 7 years of professional-level experience in an HR position with a high school diploma or global equivalent

3 Exam Format and Length Computer-based Testing (CBT) 130 questions (105 scored questions, 25 pre-test questions) 2 hours 30 minutes in length Pricing $375 USD $350 USD (association member pricing) All prices include $75 USD non-refundable application fee. Topic covered in the HRMP FUNCTIONAL AREA 01: HR AS A BUSINESS LEADER (32%) Leading the HR function, providing strategic HR consultation to senior management, and developing partnerships with all areas in the organization. Contributing to the overall strategy of the organization through activities such as evaluating organizations considered for mergers and acquisitions, conducting human capital analyses, and understanding global HR issues.

4 FUNCTIONAL AREA 02: PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT AND TALENT MANAGEMENT (29%) (a) People Development: utilizing a set of systematic and planned activities designed by the organization to help people develop the necessary skills to meet current and future organizational needs and objectives, creating an organizational environment that encourages and retains the employees; and (b) Talent Management: identifying and developing relevant individual and organizational competencies; developing and using a talent management strategy to sustain long- term, effective alignment with organizational strategies to achieve human capital objectives; establishing a learning environment in which continuous professional development includes staying current in HR practices. FUNCTIONAL AREA 03: HR SERVICE DELIVERY (23%) Using effective HR Service Delivery methods to deliver accurate and consistent programs that support sustainable organizational growth. Creating an environment where all employees can find answers to HR questions; using effective communication plans, HR technology and tools; identifying HR service delivery methods used by a group that may be applicable across the organization; defining and implementing compensation and benefit programs and managing employee arrivals and departures from the organization as appropriate FUNCTIONAL AREA 04: MEASUREMENT (16%) Encouraging and supporting the establishment of individual and organizational performance metrics, using the results of these metrics to improve employee performance and increase the value of the organization

5 2015 Exam Application Submission Dates for HRBP and HRMP All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements set forth for the selected credential prior to taking the exam. All deadlines are based on ET (GMT-5) and all applications are postmark dated. The term postmark date refers to the Institute s computer system date/time stamp for online applications. Applications are not accepted beyond the late registration deadline date at 11:59 p.m. ET (GMT-5). EXAM: You may choose between two testing periods to schedule the exam: March 1-31, 2015 and September 1-30, 2015 Testing Dates Applications Accepted Late Applications Accepted* HRBP / HRMP 1-31 March 1 October- 9 January HRBP / HRMP 1-30 September April - June *A 75 USD nonrefundable late fee is applied to all applications submitted during the Late Application time frame. 6 Computer-based testing administration After you have completed your application, to schedule an exam, please go to and click schedule an exam. For all exams, we encourage you to schedule your exams early in the testing window; demand increases near the end of window. Certification Cycle All Certifications are valid for three years. Recertification is required every three years through demonstrated professional development or retaking the exam. Earn 60 recertification credit hours, of which 15 credit hours are in Business Management and Strategy OR retake exam.
