Based in California, the company has campuses loced in seismically stable Sacramento, California fiber rich Ashburn, Virginia. The Sacramento site is the largest da center campus in the ste of California. Another 300,000 square feet of new facilities are in development for both campuses. We need to be able to manage our available capacity not just as it exists today but also six months from now. As an extension of its customers IT departments, RagingWire doesn t just need to provide sufficient capacity, it also needs to provide accure real-time operional da guaranteed availability. RagingWire had developed N-Mrix as its own Da Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system to help meet these goals but its operional da was still stuck in silos. As Dougherty explains, We needed a solution th could enhance our N-Mrix result in a sophisticed software management plform with real-time da collection across multiple infrastructure systems, extensive analysis reporting, holistic facility power, cooling, bwidth utilizion visualizions. With RagingWire hosting a range of plforms technologies in its multi-tenant da centers, any new DCIM solution had to be compible with every possible permution.

To make sure the new DCIM solution could meet our needs we pulled together a complete inventory of the different integrions we wanted to achieve, comments Dougherty. We also wanted to put more da in the hs of our customers to give them better visibility, improve the operional efficiency of our staff. Customers can also tap into the CA DCIM da, which enables them to check wh capacity is available within their RagingWire environment ascertain if they need to invest in more servers, storage or power.
