1 Cisco EnergyWise and CA ecosoftware: Deliver Energy Optimization for the Data Center Executive Summary Managing energy consumption and power loads in the data center, as part of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), and in other commercial facilities has become a business imperative from an operational, financial, and service assurance perspective. However, organizations struggle to get a detailed view of their real-time energy consumption profile and to architect energy efficiency into their IT, data center, and facilities infrastructure. Measuring and monitoring consumption at a meaningful level of granularity while identifying opportunities to use Cisco EnergyWise to intelligently reduce consumption is the foundation to a successful and scalable power, energy, and carbon management strategy. Cisco has partnered with CA Technologies to provide enterprise-class energy-efficiency services promoted by Cisco Energywise and CA ecosoftware.
