1 Loan Nguyen Lausanne, Switzerland Nguyen graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Vevey in 2000, where she attended workshops run by Helmut Newton and Arno Minkkinen, among others. In 2002, she joined the POC (Piece of Cake) Collective, a network of young European photographers. After taking part in collective exhibitions all over Europe, she held her first individual exhibition in 2003 at the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff, which has been representing her work ever since. In 2006, Loan Nguyen participated with 20 other promising artists in the collective exhibition Real Fantasies: New Photography from Switzerland at Switzerland s Fotomuseum Winterthur.
