1 This document is intended to describe some general features of the e-learning program for the Authorization process Level 1 Service and how it is possible for students to enroll and attend it The program for the Authorization process Level 1 Service is composed of 4 e-learning courses plus a final test, as follows: F300e - Tmax circuit breakers F310e - Emax circuit breakers F311e - Emax DC circuit breakers F312e - Emax X1 circuit breakers F316e - Authorization process L1 Service final test The delivery platform for this program is the ABB University Learning Management System (LMS) called Training Partner ABB personnel who wish to attend the e-learning program for the Authorization process Level 1 Service can apply online through the Training Partner Online, kindly following these illustrated steps To get access to Training Partner Online, please go to the e-learning site: In the case the students had already registered themselves, they may login using their User Name (the ABB address) and Password (if Password is forgotten, it can be sent by , clicking on the dedicated link) 1

2 Otherwise, by clicking the enter link, the student can register himself (see below) Students have to fill in the registration form In the field, the correct choice is the ABB address The registration will be successfully carried out, if a person with the same ABB address exists in the system The student will then receive an automatic from Training Partner Support including login information, User Name and Password This window appears after the login to the system Some previous courses can be present Please, click the Program Catalog link on the left side Select the Automation 2

3 Products folder; in the sub-folder Breakers and switches (BSW) the Authorization process e-learning level 1 Service is present It is possible also to find it them directly with the search motor, by inserting, for example, the word Service Click the name of the program and, when the window below appears, press the Apply link The enrollment request goes to the Training Partner administrator 3

4 In maximum one working day, you will receive a confirmation by Lotus Notes After that, you will find in My learning Training all the 4 e-learning courses plus the final test in some unfinished units, in order to access and study it Every e-learning course regards a single topic and is structured on a series of e-learning modules; basically 2 different kinds of modules are available: narrated virtual lectures, based on Power Point slides, with the voice of a speaker in English language; test modules (Test you knowledge), comprising a set of questions (kinds of question types are true-false, multiple-choice and drag & drop), suitable to permit the student to check his learning The content of each module is loaded by clicking the name of the unit itself If a window does not open in your view, kindly allow pop up windows in your browser settings This is an example of a lectured module If needed, the presenter s speech can be seen as text on the left side 4

5 This is an example of a testing module ( Test your knowledge unit) It is necessary to choose the correct answer and click the push-buttons to go through the questions The test modules make available a Total score as a result; then it is possible to review the answers After pressing Exit and have closed the window, the results are updated in the learning management system This score can be reset only by the system administrator and is not binding on the continuation of the course Note: kindly bear in mind that once you have opened the test you must finish it To complete each course, it is necessary to pass the relevant final exam; the score of this last module must be higher than 70% To complete the whole program, it is necessary to pass the Authorization process L1 Service final test; also this score must be higher than 70% For needs or further information, please contact: umbertosallustio@itabbcom 5
