2 Dr. Emily Etcheverry (Emily Denholm) 1971 Dip.O.T., 1978 B.O.T. Career Highlights: I most enjoyed my clinical experiences as an occupational therapist working on the rheumatic diseases unit team at the the Rehabilitation Hospital and later working in the community for the Canadian Arthritis and Rheumatism Society. At the University since 1976, I have loved my years of teaching and several years of fieldwork coordination. Following completion of my PhD, I took the position of Department Head in, a position I held for 6 years. A highlight of my time as Department head was leading the transition to the Master of Occupational Therapy program. Currently, I have the privilege of serving as the Director of the School of Medical Rehabilitation and participating with others in the health sciences cluster to forge new relationships and plans for the future. September 2012
3 Karen McNally (Karen Berkle) 1971 Dip. O.T. After graduation I worked in Ontario, Canada in mental health before moving to England in Further qualified as a Dramatherapist and pychodynamic counsellor whilst working in London. After having my children, I changed direction to work in the learning disability field, where I ended up managing a community outreach service for adults with Learning Disabilities in Greenwich Social Services. I recently retired in April. I am now adjusting to my new pathway in life, enjoying the freedom of not having any work related responsibilities. To my delight I have recently become a grandmother of beautiful Rose and am lucky enough to live near my daughter. My husband and I share common interests of gardening, birdwatching(complete novices) and going off on motorcycle day trips, weather permitting! We intend to travel as much as possible and get to know more of the U.K., as well as making sure that I get my trips back home. Regards and much love to all who may remember me. Karen xx
