The PhD is generally a three- to four-year full-time programme, tailor-made to meet your specific research interests. It normally takes four to six years to complete on a part-time basis. The PhD programme offers flexible supervision between the China and UK Campuses. Depending on your research, you may be required to spend part of your studies at the UK Campus, but you will be registered at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China. The qualification will be awarded by The University of Nottingham and is recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education. 10 The University of Nottingham Ningbo China Country Preliminary year (year one entry) Qualifying year (year two entry) Masters India Only students who have taken the wrong subjects for their chosen degree course in their class 12 exams will be considered for a foundation programme. An overall percentage of 75% or above is required. Class 12 or Standard 12 (10+2) examinations from CBSE, ISCE or a state board. We will generally ask for the best of four subjects and any subject-specific requirements will reflect the overall percentage required (eg 80% in best four subjects including 80% in maths). We do not accept the local language as one of the four subject grades on which we base an offer and many schools also exclude environmental education from offer grades. Students who have taken a three-year diploma after class 11 instead of the class 12 exams can also be considered. Typical offers for a course requiring A level grades ABB/BBB would be: CBSE and ISC 80% West Bengal 75% Other State Boards 85% 70% in Year 12 English from CBSE or ISC can be considered as meeting the minimum English language entry requirement, although some courses may ask for a higher grade. Taught masters programmes with a UK 2.1 entry level require an Indian bachelors degree with a minimum of 60-75% average or a CGPA of out of 10 from a recognised institution. The exact score required will depend on the institution you have studied at and the course you have applied for. Some flexibility may be given for University of Delhi students who take arts subjects and for selected law programmes including those from: Amity Law School, Delhi; Government Law College, Mumbai; ILS Law College; NALSAR University of Law; National Law School of India University; University of Calcutta; University of Mumbai; and University of Pune in these cases, 55% is normally acceptable for courses which require a UK 2.1 equivalent. Indonesia SMA (Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate) with grade 7 or above (out of 10). For engineering and computer science, applicants should have achieved at least 7 in maths and a science. Successful completion of a recognised foundation course or one year at university. A bachelors degree from a recognised university. Typical minimum GPA requirements are 2.8 to 3.0 out of

Successful completion of a recognised foundation course or one year at university. A bachelors degree from a recognised university will be considered for masters entry. Typical minimum GPA requirements are 3.0 out of 4.0 International qualifications Preliminary year (year one entry) GCESE/IGCSE/O levels Normally a minimum of five B grades including Bs in relevant subjects. Qualifying year (year two entry) A levels Typical A level requirements are ABB/BBB for the majority of programmes. Relevant subjects vary for each programme. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Typical requirements are points, with Higher Level subjects and grades required for particular programmes.
