5 Price Collection Process Czar Metrics collects prices directly from competitors. In addition to online and phone collection, Czar has the ability to deploy teams of feet on the street contractors to collect pricing and menus at assigned locations. Local contractors take detailed photographs of location exterior and interior, as well as menu boards and retail displays. Competitor sets can include national or independent brands. Czar works with clients to determine specific target market(s) from region to street. Lists of products for collection and analysis are based on clients core menu items, relevant promotions, test items, etc. 5

7 Analysis Process Czar Metrics consolidates and verifies data from multiple sources. Client core items are compared to competitors equivalent items individually and by category. Czar can drill down to individual items at specific locations to identify tiering and other competitor pricing strategies. The client s place in the competitive landscape is illustrated in detail. Recommendations are made based on pricing opportunities discovered in our analysis. Photo libraries are given to the client for future reference. 7
