4 More about Proxy Server Proxy server act as a mediator between the customer s server and NOC. First of all, the Proxy server receives the request from the Monitoring Server. Since proxy server is not running the application it makes the connection to another computer, called the origin server, where the application is running. When the origin server fulfills the request for the data required by the Monitoring Server, it sends the application's data back to the Proxy server. This way customer s data remains physically untouched which eliminates the data security threat. Proxy server does make it appear as if it is running the application. All communications between Proxy and origin servers happen transparently to customer. PROXY SERVER IMPEMENTATION

5 Advantages of using Proxy Server Since a dedicated server is placed, so the system performance is very high. Customer data is never touched physically. Data from origin server (client s server) comes to Proxy server only when the complete authentication of the requester s identity will be done. Proxy server is always placed at customer s location, so threat to physical data security is also reduced. Customer can view the real time status/performance of Network/Application on a dashboard provided by the TSP.
