Security Facility Gibraltar provides hosting services at Philadelphia Technology Park, a high security facility, located in the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hosting facility is SAS 70 and SSAE 16 certified with 24x7 monitored and recorded security cameras, Proxy ID card, and Biometric scan entry. The entire facility is fully power redundant, with dual UPS, dual 1.5 Megawatt on-site generators, and is on a separate power grid from the city of Philadelphia. All power redundancy systems are tested weekly. As one of the highest industry accepted auditing standards for service companies, SAS 70 and SSAE 16 certification provides customers with guaranteed security and reliability for their systems. Network The network connectivity to the hosted facility is provided by multiple carriers with BGP routing redundancy. Connectivity to Gibraltar is provided via a 60Mb Ethernet BGP service that is fully redundant across all available carriers. Internet access is delivered to a Cisco ASA firewall which provides first level defence against network threats by blocking invalid network requests and denying access by known threats. Threat detection rules are updated regularly as new threats are found. Each hosting client is provided their own private network within the hosting cloud. Servers Our virtualization environment provides security by creating a private instance for each server within the hosting cloud, and on their respective private network. Each server is provided with dedicated storage space, system resources, and network connectivity which eliminates data crossover between servers.

Gibraltar currently uses two different Antivirus solutions: AVG and Symantec. Both solutions have been proven to be very effective in mitigating software related threats and attacks. However, there is no guarantee that new and unknown viral/malware software will be immediately detected. Users must still exercise caution when opening attachments from unknown persons or going to unknown websites. Questions regarding internet security may always be addressed to the Gibraltar helpdesk and they will be glad to assist with any questionable internet materials. Remote Access Remote access to the servers can be provided in several ways. The most common remote access solution is via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). This is a Microsoft Windows based solution that allows users to directly and securely connect to a Terminal Server to access a remotely accessible desktop. The user applications are installed on the Terminal Server, and all applications run directly on the server, not on the user s local workstation. RDP uses a 128-Bit encrypted connection to the server so all network operations are encrypted and secure. User Authentication User authentication is handled by the underlying OS that is being connected to. Single deployment servers use an internal user database for authentication and authorization to the server. Larger server/workstation deployments may be implemented in a centralized Domain environment, where a single server holds the user authentication database, and all other workstations or servers look to the central database for authentication and authorization.

Monitoring Gibraltar monitors all functions of the hosting network and servers. Firewall is monitored for bandwidth usage, IDS/IPS, and overall health. Power systems are monitored for power consumption, Power failure, Power Supply Failure, and continued redundancy. Backup & Recovery Online file backup Gibraltar's online file backup service copies files from your server nightly to our secure data center. Backups are monitored by Gibraltar s operations team, along with a daily backup status report ed to you, and Gibraltar will resolve backup failures and provide restores upon request. Server Shadow Provides full image backup of the server at hourly intervals. Servers can be restored rapidly to any hardware in the event of a failure. A daily copy is sent off site to a secure location. Gibraltar monitor's all backups for issues and assist with file restores. Backup Guardian Gibraltar s enterprise grade solution provides a snapshot of all data and applications in 15 minute increments. In the event of a server failure, a virtual server can be started to replace the failed system. In addition, a replica is kept off site on a second appliance. In the event of a disaster at the primary site, all replicated servers can be brought up remotely. This service includes on-site and off-site storage, backup monitoring/verification/testing, file restores and server recovery assistance.
