Workshop 2: Wireless Sensing and Mobile Communication, Mr. Arto Toppinen, Principal Lecturer We will introduce our 3G network where students can learn to configure all 3G network components over the internet with real devices. In addition, we have a NOKIA 3G base station in our lab with which we can do hands on lab works. To study the 4G mobile network radio signal we have a National Instrument vector signal generator and a vector signal receiver. With this device it is possible to study and configure 4G LTE signals and for example multipath fading conditions. Our project about wireless sensor network is planned to be used to monitor the lakes in eastern Finland. We measure temperature, PH, radioactivity, heavy metals etc of the lake water.
