26 SOME KEY RESULTS SINCE Sept 2011 Maintenance contract with 7 companies to maintain 257 pieces of equipment and are monitored by MoH/DIEM National database of all equipment procured under PEPFAR, Global Fund and WB/MAP (PUMLS) National database for curative and preventive interventions National SOPs developed for intervention Preventive and Curative maintenance

29 Challenges Back-up equipment Most private companies do not provide back-up equipment Regional office Only one company has a regional office outside of Abidjan Problem with rapid intervention on site Cost of maintenance contract Only PEPFAR and Global Fund have budget allocations The MOH does include DIEM, but resources are not sufficient for adequate intervention Human Resource needs at DIEM and CREEM Spare parts for equipment National policy document for Biomedical equipment management
