Critical infrastructure plays acrucialroleinthefunctioningandadvancementof a society and in the protection of the social and economic integrity of a state. Prevention and reactiontocrimearekeyfactorstoensuringpublic safety. Academically, there is a current emphasis on the study of resilience and the question of safety. This remainsanimportanttopictocanada,especiallysubsequenttodisasterssuchasthefireintherésidence duhavreinl Isle9VerteinJanuaryofthisyear,andtheLac9MéganticderailmentinJuly,thebombingatthe BostonmarathoninApril,andthefloodinginTorontoandinCalgaryinthesummeroflastyear.Themain challengeforpublicsafetyissuesincanadaisthecapacityofpublicsectororganizationstocollaborateand tocooperateinordertoincreasethelevelofresilienceincanada,topreventorreacttomajorcrises.how can public andprivateorganisationscoordinate horizontally between different ministries) and vertically betweenthevariouslevelsofgovernmentandwithnon9governmentalorganisations)inordertoachievea higherlevelofcollaborativeresilience?
