Will use knowledge of root words, prefixes and suffixes to decode unknown words. Will demonstrate knowledge of word chunks (word families) when decoding words. Will use grammar and spelling that does not interfere with the reader s understanding when working draft stages of writing. Will maintain his/her desk or study area in an organized manner. Will organize books, daily assignments and papers. Will organize his/her locker/desk in order to locate materials and assignments. Will keep his/her desk organized. Will bring all appropriate and necessary materials to class. Will bring all needed materials to the Resource Room. Will write name (date and assignment) on all papers.
