1 WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF FERRARA Guide of online application for incoming students Please read this guide carefully KEEP IN MIND THAT you are allowed to apply online as incoming student Ready to start? Connect to and from the left menu select the entry Authorization code from Access Code to start the registration process. You must fill in the 4 blanks (access code, name, family name, date of birth) with the data the International Mobility Office provided you via . After inserting the data required, click on Proceed to continue. 1) You are now at the 1 st step of your registration. You ll see a window containing your personal data. You must remember to: a) insert your FULL LEGAL NAME, otherwise you won t be able to register properly; b) insert your CITY OF BIRTH, if missing in the form. Keep in

2 mind that clicking Next, the programme will generate automatically your Tax code, in case you don t have one already. 2) You must now insert your residence address in your hometown: - the city, the street and the civic number of your residence; - your Italian or foreign mobile number (please add the Italian code +39 before the Italian number); - tick yes if your domicile coincides with your legal residence, or else tick no. Once you ve completed this window, click Next. 3) The section Contacts is the third step of your registration. You must enter: - your personal address, - your Italian mobile number again (preceded the Italian code +39), if any, Please tick Y to the three statements below, then click Next.

3 4) At this point, the system will generate a provisional password which is to be changed after your first access. To continue, click Next. 5) The first phase of registration process is nearly completed. You can see your profile in a Registration summary which includes all the data you entered. In order to complete the registration, click Confirm. 6) You may now see your registration process is successfully completed. This window shows your personal credentials you must use to enter your academic online account during your study period in Ferrara.

4 To remember your credentials, click on Print memo and have your reminder printed out. To start enrolment process, now click Login in the section Private area on the left menu. 7) Did you take note of your credentials? Did you forget your username and password or miss the remainder you printed? Don t panic! Once completed your registration, the system will automatically send to your personal address a reminder with your account credentials. Please keep this , print it and bring it to the International Mobility Office when you arrive in Ferrara. See the screenshot below. To start the APPLICATION, you must click Login in the section Private Area on the left menu. The system generates a pop-up window where you are asked to insert your username and password, as shown below. Remember you must change your password after this first log-in.

5 8) Welcome to your private academic account for the first time! From this area you can monitor your study status during all your stay at our University, moreover it s from here that you can sign up for the exams and see the results. 9) To proceed with enrolment, click on International Mobility and then select Application form for incoming students from the left menu. 10) You can see a summary of your main data reporting your home university name, the department you are going to study in and the Course of study. These details are given, you don t need to insert them. Click Next to proceed.

6 You MUST now upload a scan copy of your ID document, so click Insert new identity document. 11) Select the type of ID document to upload (identity card, passport or driving licence), as shown below. Then click Next. 12) Select Confirm to go on. 13) Click on Insert new attachment to upload the scan copy of your ID document.

7 14) In the field title put simply scan, in the field description put the name of the document you are uploading scan copy of ID card/passport. Then click on Scegli file to choose the file to upload. 15) After you ve chosen the file, click Upload. 16) After upload is completed, click Next to continue.

8 17) This step is also very important, you must insert several details here: 1) the date in which you plan to arrive in Ferrara 2) the expected date of your departure 3) the expected duration of your stay (in months) 18) You may find in a summary page all the details you ve inserted so far. To modify some of them click Back, to continue click Forward.

9 19) Your registration and application are over now. It s time to ENROLL! Just below the summary of your application, click on Print the Application Form 20) In the screenshot below you may see the enrolment form you have to print out, sign it in the second page and submit it to the International Mobility Office when you arrive in Ferrara.

10 21) Any incoming students must pay an Insurance which covers accidents and damages occurred within University spaces. It costs 28,00. To pay for it, select the entry Payments from the left menu. The new window will show you the number of the invoice with the amount to pay; the red button on the right tells you haven t paid yet. 22) If you click on the number of the invoice you will have two possibilities: - Either you pay online selecting Online Payment ; - Or you pay at the Bank selecting Stampa Bollettino Bancario. Remember that paying at the Bank will be possible only after you ve arrived in Ferrara. The International Mobility Office will give you the right indications for it.

11 KEEP IN MIND! The only paper documents that you must bring to the International Mobility Office after your arrival in Ferrara are: 1) Enrolment form (domanda di immatricolazione), duly signed; 2) Invoice form (bollettino bancario), for who didn t pay online; OR Payment receipt (ricevuta di pagamento), for who paid online; 3) Reminder of your credentials (username and password). At any other access after the first registration, you ll have to connect again to and select Login from the top left menu, then insert your credentials to enter your personal area.
