2 Advisory Circulars are intended to provide advice and guidance to illustrate a means, but not necessarily the only means, of complying with the Regulations, or to explain certain regulatory requirements by providing informative, interpretative and explanatory material. Advisory Circulars should always be read in conjunction with the relevant regulations. This Advisory Circular (AC) applies to: Audience Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME) and others involved in aircraft maintenance Part 147 of Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) 1998 Maintenance Training Organisations (MTO) Part 145 of Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) 1998 Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMO) Regulation 30 of Civil Aviation Regulation (CAR) 1988 certificate of approval for aircraft maintenance. Purpose This AC provides Part 147 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR) - Guidance Material listing the Maintenance Training Organisations (MTO) approved to carry out aircraft maintenance training theory and practical. Part 1 contains the list of MTO approved for category and subcategory training. Part 2 contains the list of MTO approved for aircraft type training.
