1 Ultrasound Fantomen bootsen de echografische eigenschappen van menselijk weefsel na. In het weefselequivalente materiaal zijn structuren aangebracht die verschillende kwaliteitscontroles en trainingen mogelijk maken van en met ultrasound apparatuur. Assortiment Ultrasound fantomen van ATS Ultrasound Fantomen van ATS bestaan uit een zeer uitgebreid assortiment en hebben vele toepassingsmogelijkheden. Ultrasound Fantomen zijn er in diverse uitvoeringen. De fantomen zijn onderverdeeld in verschillende categorieën: General Purpose Phantoms, Beam Profile & Slice Thickness Phantoms, Contrast Resolution Phantoms, Doppler Flow, Acoustic standoff, Speciality Phantoms, Training phantoms. De algemeen toepasbare fantomen zijn vooral ontwikkeld voor de kwaliteitscontroles, evenals de bundelprofiel fantomen en de contrastresolutie fantomen. De Doppler Flow fantomen zijn geheel op de kwaliteitscontroles van de dopplerapparatuur gericht. De laatste sectie fantomen zijn speciale fantomen, hier valt een fantoom voor kwaliteitscontrole van apparatuur met een intracavitaire transducer onder, maar ook een mammafantoom die de mogelijkheid biedt het biopteren onder echogeleide van de mamma te trainen. 2
