The table on the following page will show you all the supported stream types on your XRN unit.

16 XRN0808E 8x[1920*1080]+Sub stream [640*480] + 2Ref. + 1Play 8x[1280*720]+Sub stream [640*360] + 1Ref. + 4Play XRN x[1280*960]+sub stream[640*480]+4ref.+4play 9x[1920*1080]+sub stream[960*576]+4ref.+1play XRN x[1280*960]+sub[640*480]+4Ref.+4Play 16x[1920*1080]+sub[640*480]+4Ref.+4Play 8x[1920*1080]+8x[1280*960]+sub[640*480]+4Ref.+4Play 4x[2048*1536]+sub[960*576]+4Ref.+4Play XRN x[1280*960]+sub[720*576]+4Ref.+8Play 25x[1920*1080]+sub[960*576]+4Ref.+4Play 16x[1920*1080]+16x[1280*960]+sub[960*576]+4Ref.+4Play 8x[2048*1536]+sub[960*576]+4Ref.+8Play 4x[2592*1920]+sub[960*576]+4Ref.+4Play 16 The values above signify the maximum amount of channels, the maximum supported Main Stream resolution, the maximum supported Sub Stream resolution and the maximum amount of channels that are shown in playback. So for example, the XRN0808E gives you two options of: 8 x [1920*1080] + Sub Stream [640*480] + 2Ref + 1Play 8 x [1280*720] + Sub stream [640*360] + 1Ref. + 4Play If you use the 1st one as an example this means that it will allow 8 channels at a maximum resolution of 1920*1080 with a maximum Sub Stream resolution of 640*480, it will also play back 1 channel at a time when viewing recorded footage. 8 x 1920* Sub Stream(640*480) + 2Ref + 1Play Channels 2. Maximum Main Stream Resolution 3. Maximum Sub Stream Resolution 4. This is for factory use. 5. Maximum Channels at Playback

17 You may have a resolution lower than what is stated but if these resolutions are exceeded then you will not not receive an image or they will freeze up. The XRN1609 will give the following options: 16 x [1280*960] + Sub Stream [640*480] + 4Ref + 4Play 9 x [1920*1080] + Sub Stream [960*576] + 4Ref + 1Play This means that one option will give 16 channels at a maximum Main Stream resolution of 1280*960 or 9 channels with a slightly higher resolution of 1920*1080. Some of the other unit will give you further options, for example: 8 x [1920*1080] + 8 x [1280*960] +Sub Stream [640*480] + 4Ref + 4Play This means that it will allow a total of 16 channels, however, the first 8 channels will have a maximum Main Stream resolution of 1920*1080 and the last 8 channels have a maximum Main Stream resolution of 1280*960. The image above has a table explaining a breakdown of all supported resolutions and maximum amount of cameras that support those resolutions. Amount of Cameras Live image at 1920x1080 resolution Live image at 1280x960 resolution Live image at 640x480 resolution Simultaneous Playback 17 1 Yes Yes Yes Up to 4 Cameras 4 All 4 Cameras All 4 Cameras All 4 Cameras Up to 4 Cameras 8 All 8 Cameras All 8 Cameras All 8 Cameras Up to 4 Cameras 16 8 Cameras 8 Cameras All 16 Cameras Up to 4 Cameras To configure the above settings, please follow the steps below: On the main screen, right click and choose the Setting option. Then, select the Device option and Device Info as shown in the right hand image above.

18 On the Device Info page at the bottom you will find Stream Type, select the drop down list and pick the required Stream. When you have selected the stream type, the XRN unit will reboot. When rebooted, navigate to the main menu and go the Setting-Channel-Video Parameters. Then, you can change your main stream and sub stream to match the new stream settings. 18 Under video parameters, change between main stream and sub stream settings for each channel. The XRN1609, XRN2016 and XRN3625, when in 1 or 4 screens use the main stream to display. If the display is set to 9/16/25/36 screens, the sub stream is used. For the XRN0808E, in single view the main stream is used and when display is set to 4/9 split view, the sub stream is used. The recommended Bit rate for main stream is the following: For 720P IP camera: 3072Kbps For 1080P IP camera: 4096Kbps For example, if the XRN2016 is in the mode of 16x [1920*1080] +sub [640*480] +4Ref. +4Play, it supports a sub stream of 640x480 maximum, so the correct resolution of the sub stream you have to setup is 640x480 (VGA), or Q720P/QVGA/CIF. If the resolution is set to higher, there will be no image displayed through HDMI and VGA output when the XRN displays in multi-screens (9/16/25/36 screens). The recommended bit rate under Sub stream is 512Kbps or less. The example below shows live image support for XRN2016.
