17 EAP Migration Scenarios SA Coverage on Installed Base (Deferred L): Can cover Enterprise Server/CAL licenses with SA and upgrade to SQL Servers will be throttled to 20 cores per server. Customers can also choose to convert their Server/CAL estate to Enterprise cores (conversion details currently TBD) True-ups: Can only true-up on Enterprise cores, or other SQL 2012 Server/CAL editions EOT Renewal: Can continue to renew SA on their existing (deferred Ls) Enterprise Server/CAL deployments at end of term EOT Deferred L Buyouts: Only Enterprise core based buyout option will be available for these deferred Ls Caveat: To mitigate potential customer concerns, SQL 2012 Enterprise Server/CAL edition will be available to purchase for new customers that sign an EAP before July 1 st

19 EAP SA Only SAPriorL Overview Today s problem When customers bring their installed base into EAP and cover with SA, we assign the same SA Only skus to their prior version installed base (deferred Ls), as we do when current version licenses are owned. By not differentiating these SA Only skus, we are not able to track which customers are required to buyout the underlying license at EOT, when customers choose to exit EAP At Signing Existing Baseline Deferred Licenses Migrating Current Licenses into EAP EAP SKUs SA Only SAPriorL SA Only Solution Introducing SA Only SKUs with an SAPriorL end item differentiator, to be assigned to all deferred L customer application platform product deployments New Licenses L&SA

Eligible Customers: Available to our largest customers with Premier Services. Minimum Software Assurance spend of $250,000 per year for these products.
