The intent of the Price List Guide is to proactively communicate strategic information connected to activity on the Price List at a global level. Point counts flow to downstream systems as soon as they are either set, or changed. While this precludes the ability to provide a 30-day preview on point count changes, it does mean that point count errors can be corrected quickly without relying on the following month s price list publication schedule. As point count changes will not be visible on the preview price list, please refer to the Product List for updated point counts in the interim. License point values (referred to as the Unit Count on price lists) are assigned based on a product s global base price using a sliding scale and are only applicable in the Open and Select program. Each product pool (Applications, Systems, Server) has a unique scale for assigning point counts. 11
