1 REGULATIONS OF THE SAMBO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AMONG JUNIORS (М-F) AND YOUNG MEN (М-F) October 10-14, 2013, Thessaloniki (Greece) 1. COMPETITIONS MANAGEMENT General management of the World SAMBO Cup preparation and staging among juniors and young men is arranged by: the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) together with the Greek SAMBO Federation with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Greece and the Sports Committee of Thessaloniki. 2. DATE AND VENUE The World Championship will be held during the period from October 10 to 14, 2013 in Thessaloniki (Greece), in Palais des Sports Sports Complex (Gregory Lampraki 2, Thessaloniki, P.C ). 3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITIONS The right to compete is granted only to those athletes who meet the below mentioned requirements: v Athletes of the following age group: Juniors (men and women) years (born ); Young men (boys and girls) years (born ). v Athletes with a FIAS license book with a 2013 FIAS annual fee payment note in it. Athletes who come to participate in the Championship, but who have failed to pay the license on time, should pay an annual license ($ 25) on-site while passing the accreditation. The athletes who don t have a license book, can buy it from the Treasurer or a person authorized by him. An athlete s photo and 10 US dollars is required to obtain a license book. The calculation shall be made in U.S. dollars only. v Athletes who have the athlete s health insurance. The athletes who haven got health insurance will be able to obtain it on-site, while passing the accreditation. Such an opportunity will be provided for them by the Organizing Committee. 4. APPLICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION The National SAMBO Federation shall filled out registration forms to the Organizing Committee on the following address: sambokurash@yahoo.gr before September 1, The filled out registration forms are as follows: Appendix No. 1 Advance application; Appendix No. 2 Form for issuing visas, information on arrival and departure. 5. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS The competitions are held in accordance with International SAMBO Competitions rules and the Regulations of the International SAMBO Federation on preparation and staging of the international competitions. Age groups: Juniors (men and women) years (born ); Young men (boys and girls) years (born ). Weight categories: М -48, -52, -57, -62, -68, -74, -82, -90, -100, +100 kg Juniors F -44, -48, -52, -56, -60, -64, -68, -72, -80, +80 kg Young men М -48, -52, -56, -60, -65, -70, -75, -81, -87, +87 kg

2 Young men F -40, -44, -48, -52, -56, -60, -65, -70, -75, +75 kg The Organizing Committee guarantees the first aid treatment to all participants of the Championship. Individual championship is held according to the Olympic system with finalists consolation. Team places are based on individual results of the participants. Only the international category referees with the 2013 FIAS license are allowed to judge. Sportsmen who take medal places will be awarded with medals and diplomas. Teams that won places will be awarded with cups. 6. DOPING TESTS The SportAccord Doping-Free Sport Unit (DFSU) representatives conduct random testing for doping among athletes - participants. Athletes to be tested for doping will be determined after the final fights. Further analyzing and treatment of the doping tests results will be carried out in strict accordance with the provisions of the Anti-Doping FIAS and according to the WADA Anti- Doping Code. 7. FINANCIAL TERMS Each participant of the Championship shall fulfill all financial obligations to the Organizing Committee upon his arrival in Thessaloniki. The premium for room and board is 100 US dollars or 75 Euro (preferably in Euro) for 1 day per person. The Grand Palace Hotel at Monastiriou str., Thesaloniki, Greece is provided for the participants. Food and accommodation of all the athletes are at the FIAS expense. Transfer from the airport (railway station) of Thessaloniki to the official hotel of the Championship and back, as well as from the hotel to the sports arena is 20 US dollars or 15 Euro (preferably in Euro) per person. At the participant s own accommodation in the hotel other than selected by the Organizing Committee, each participant shall pay a fee for accreditation at the Championship at the rate of 150 US dollars per person on account of the host country, which covers administrative costs, herein, transfer payment from the airport (railway station) of Thessaloniki to the hotel is made separately. The Organizing Committee shall cover expenses on accommodation, meals and transfers from the airport (railway station) of Thessaloniki to the hotel and back, and on a transfer during the competition of the FIAS President, Secretary-General of the FIAS, FIAS President of the Panel of Referees, Chief Treasurer, Chief Referee and the Principal Secretary of the Championship. FIAS shall pay for the work of the Chief Treasurer, Chairman of the Panel of Referees, Chief Referee and Principal Secretary of the Championship in the amount of 100 US dollars for each day of the Championship, including arrival and departure days. Payment for work of the international category referees, appointed by the FIAS President of the panel of referees, is made at the rate of 50 US dollars for each day of the event. FIAS also shall pay for room and board of referees appointed by the Chairman of the FIAS panel of referees. 8. ACCREDITATION All participants shall be accredited. Accreditation will be held at the Grand Palace Hotel at: Monastiriou str., Thesaloniki, Greece, tel , fax While accrediting, representatives of teams shall submit national flags (3 pcs.) and the soundtracks with the country s National Anthem (CD and MD) to the Organizing Committee.

3 Media representatives shall also fill out a corresponding form in the Media Center Accreditation on the FIAS official website no later than September to be accredited. 9. VISA SUPPORT All members of the Championship will be provided with visa support needed to obtain visas at consulates of Greece. 10. MARKETING AND ADVERTISING The Organizing Committee guarantees the rights of sponsorship to the FIAS partners and sponsors provided for in the corresponding Agreements. 11.
