4 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT On March 24, 2014 Oslo Airport was certified by DNV in accordance with the ISO standard This means that OSL is measured against a standard for good environmental leadership ISO is based on 2 concepts: continual improvement compliance with regulations

5 TERMINAL EXPANSION Building period Extra terminal area m² (+ 77 %) Extra airside area m² (+ 30 %) Cost 1,7 billion EUR Capacity 28 mill pax annually Our new terminal is built to achieve BREEAM excellent (BREEAM is a method of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of buildings)

10 Noise-control OSLs is working hard to minimize the number of people affected by aircraft-noise Since the opening of the airport in October 1998, all flights have been monitored As the first airport in the world, OSL implemented the Point Merge system in and the last year OSL tested over 4000 curved approaches to avoid flying over dense population OSL is working closely together with the local politicians for continuous improvement in our six neighboring communities Monthly reports on the noise-situation are published

14 Water and Soil Parts of the airport overlies a potential future drinking water reservoir, and OSL has a strict discharge permit for ground water During winter season glycol is used to de-ice aircrafts and formiate is used on the runway/taxing areas At the de-icing platforms, approximately 80 per cent of the applied glycol is collected Surface water with the highest glycol concentrations is delivered to a local recycling plant and concentrated for re-use The remainder of the de-icing chemicals decomposes in the ground along the runway systems Ongoing project for cleaning PFOS from the soil under the fire-practice facility
