4 Work experience Period 03/ 09 up to present day Motorola C2000 (TETRA Networks) Project Implementation Manager Managing the implementation of the new software release and hardware for the C2000 network, during the roll-out. Working together with the project manager to execute different activities of the software roll-out. Test systems have been upgraded successfully over the last nine months. Currently in the progress of rolling-out the nation wide system. Project management method that is being used for managing this project is based on Prince2. Project Implementation Manager. Responsible for carrying out different task towards the engineers within the project. Liaise with the customer for implementing subtask within the project for the different systems. Report and maintain delivery status of hardware and software deliveries. Plan field activities for the engineers to have all the required tools, software and hardware to be delivered on site for the upgrade. Report the system status during the upgrade executions internally and externally. Prepare and assist with product acceptance test with the customer and to guide that the test are being performed smoothly with the customer. Create and execute project planning for subprojects within the project and closing the project. Managed the Radius project from design to the implementation onto the test systems. Period 04/ 07 12/ 08 Digicel Dutch Caribbean Technical/VAS/IT Manager Line manager of two VAS/IT engineers and supervisor of two GSM switching engineers, a roaming coordinator and an IP engineer. Project leader for product rollout, migration and implementation projects. The goal of the project was, execute migration with zero downtime. Technical/VAS/IT Manager. Responsible for the operations and maintenance of the GSM network in Aruba from the access network until the value added services and the products. 5 Migration project Digicel Curaçao. Project leader Comverse voic migration. Negotiate with the vendors regarding the quotation, project plan and the migration time. Draft the internal migration project plan and the method of procedure. Lead the internal and external project members for the integration of the voic system with a backhaul to the old and the new switch. Report to the CTO and the project manager regarding the progress, adjustments or escalations of problems. Migration was performed within 20 hours instead of the agreed migration time of 24 hours. Project leader prepaid installation, implementation and migration of subscribers. A new Ericsson prepaid system was installed and integrated with the GSM network. Define and elaborate with the vendor the scope of the project. Draft the internal project plan for the installation, integration and testing of the new prepaid system and the method of procedure. Lead the project member of the IT, billing and prepaid team in Jamaica. On the day of the migration the method of procedure was the guideline for the migration of the subscribers. Installing new cables and patches. Perform a sanity check and make a system and data backup before the migration. Decommission, transport and mount the IVR. It was of great importance that the downtime was kept to a minimum, because the PBX was used by the customer care department.
