2 OVERVIEW GREEN BUSINESS AND ENERGY INNOVATION Combining management and renewable energies The programme focuses on management and business administration in the renewable energy sector. It will supply you with technical and practical knowledge in green power technologies (e.g. solar energy, wind, water, geothermal power and bioenergy) as well as with fundamentals of general management like finance, controlling or marketing. Practical relevance In addition to learning theory, you will apply your knowledge in study projects and real business cases. Together with your lecturers and representatives from the private and public sector, you will work on practice-based topics. An internship will allow you to apply your knowledge. In today s world, an ever-growing population with rising energy demands is faced with scarce resources and the impacts of climate change. Representatives of governments and stakeholders from the private sector have become more and more aware of this issue, enabling new job and business opportunities to establish. With our Bachelor programme International Business Administration with focus on Renewable Energy, we pick up on these trends and offer you the opportunity to become part of one of the fastest growing and exciting fields of global economy with excellent job opportunities worldwide. Practical projects and specialised courses will deepen your understanding of the extensive field of energy supply and its value chain. Topics from decentralised rural and private household electrification, but also innovative concepts of distributing and storing energy or high tech smart grid solutions will be discussed in lectures and small study groups. Furthermore, you will gain insights into economic regulations and the environmental policy.
