Itinerary Key: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Drink Afternoon Tea Longer walks and steps may be involved on this day 1 Fly to Prague Today you will meet a One Traveller representative and your fellow travellers at Heathrow Airport before boarding the flight to Prague. On arrival your Tour Managers will organise the onward coach to take you to the hotel for the four-night stay. Evening: after a chance to settle in and relax there will be a hosted welcome drinks reception in the hotel, after which an evening meal with drinks will be served. 2 Christmas Eve Morning: after breakfast you will meet up with your Tour Managers and the rest of the party and you will be transferred by coach to the centre of Prague for your relaxed walking tour of the city. Prague is a largely pedestrianised city, so all the main attractions can be seen on foot. You will see the Charles Bridge, the Jewish Quarter and Wenceslas Square. As this is a relaxed walking tour you will break for coffee half way through. Afternoon: after the morning stroll you will have some free time to enjoy the Christmas markets in the centre of the city before transferring to the hotel. Evening: you will be taken on a panoramic drive to Prague s stunning Art Nouveau Municipal House for a three-course meal while being serenaded by live piano music. 3 Christmas Day Morning: after a leisurely breakfast you will be taken for a stroll

3 through the grounds of Prague s Castle which looks enchanting at this time of the year. After the guided tour you will join our exclusive river boat for a two-hour cruise along the Vltava River. Afternoon: lunch will be served on the boat and you will be entertained by live accordion music as you gently cruise down the river under the Charles Bridge to see some more of the sights, after which you will take in a magical Christmas concert in one of the churches in the centre of the city. How about that for a great day? Evening: there will be a special exclusive party where you will celebrate Christmas by eating, drinking and - if you wish - dancing to the live entertainment. 4 Boxing Day Morning: after breakfast you will drive to the beautiful village of Karlstejn. The trip will involve a guided tour of the picture perfect Karlstejn Castle with plenty of free time for lunch and shopping for Bohemia Crystal, marionettes and other souvenirs in this stunning village before heading back to the hotel. Evening: you will be eating out as you will take in the Czech Gypsy show which is held in a very atmospheric venue in Prague. Dinner and drinks (all included) will be served at the table while you watch professionals performing some great dances such as the Chardash, the Polka and the Mazurka and playing iconic instruments such as the hammered dulcimer. 5 Fly home Relax in the hotel this morning before transferring to Prague s airport for the mid-morning flight back to the UK, concluding our extra special Christmas holiday and leaving you with lots of happy memories and new friends. Included excursions Festive Czech Christmas panoramic city drive followed by dinner in Prague's Municipal House The Czech s celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December and in the evening many restaurants and shops will be closed as a result. You will celebrate the Czech Christmas in one of the city s most famous buildings called The Municipal House. Here you will eat a Christmas meal (Czech style).

4 Prague guided City tour A mornings walking tour of Prague with an official guide to see the best of the historic capital of the Czech Republic. Prague Castle grounds guided tour Although much of Prague s Castle is closed during the Christmas festival a trip to Prague would not be complete without a walk through the grounds. We have therefore arranged to take you through the grounds of the castle with our local guide on Christmas morning. Magical Christmas Day concert in a local church Christmas is all about surprises and as a Christmas surprise we have arranged to see a special Christmas concert in a local church in the afternoon of the 25th of December. Karlstejn Castle guided tour Boxing Day will be spent out of Prague to get a flavour for the countryside. A three quarter day tour to Charles IV s magnificent country house including a guided tour inside the Castle followed by plenty of free time for shopping and lunch in this atmospheric village located one hour from Prague. Prague Christmas Markets There will be free time on 2 of our days in the afternoon for you to shop and enjoy the Christmas Markets in the centre of Prague (Old Town and Wenceslas Square) and to try a few of the local specialities. Outdoor Christmas shopping is so much easier with a cup of hot wine (svařené víno or svařák) in your hand! Exclusive Christmas Day lunch cruise on the river On Christmas Day a 2 hour lunch cruise on the famous River Vltava (internationally known as the Moldau) through the centre of Prague has been arranged. Onboard you will have a buffet lunch and live music. The boat is a great way to relax and see the city. Boxing Day evening Gypsy show with dinner and all drinks Folklore is very much part of a Czech Christmas so we have chosen to finish our Christmas holiday in traditional style. A 2 hour show with dancing (Polka, Chardash & Mazurka) and singing including delicious food and a free bar (beer, wine and soft drinks). There is also a dance floor where you could try some of the local dances with the professionals and amateurs! Hotels

5 Prague - Hotel Duo The newly refurbished four-star Hotel Duo has very comfortable rooms and excellent facilities, including a large and spacious lobby bar with plenty of atmosphere and a 20-metre heated indoor swimming pool, garden, internet corner, money exchange, gym, sauna, beauty parlour and a selection of souvenir shops. There is also free WiFi in the hotel. All rooms have a bath or shower, satellite TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and fridge.
