9 Automatic With this timer each automation system can be set as you prefer, assigning the desired time and the usage modes, to be woken up by the early morning sun, protect your geraniums from the midday sun, or to open and close them all at a particular time. Concealed Nice presents its concealed control: the ultra-compact dimensions enable all products in the miniaturised Tag control range to be installed inside standard wall-mounted plates. Opera: for automation system management, also at a distance The innovative Opera system makes easy work for the installer in management of automation systems, thanks to remote control from the PC or PDA, via Bluetooth and GPRS. It also enables the user to manage all home automations via mobile phone. The Opera system comprises One radio controls and receivers, the multifunction O-View display (available soon), the O-Box connection interface and the communication software. All components intercommunicate by means of BUS T4 or the new O-Code rolling code system which guarantees safer transmissions and reduces automation response times. Drastically reduced configuration times: the multifunction O-View display enables programming, management and proximity control of all automations connected by means of BUS T4. It can also be connected to your PDA, Smartphone or PC for remote checks via GPRS. 0 NICE

11 Transmitters easy to activate thanks to the Identity code, with no need for installer intervention. Each transmitter with built-in receiver has an Identity Code transferable to a new transmitter to be activated, by simply moving the two transmitters close together and pressing a specific key sequence. On the first radio transmission the built-in receiver automatically recognises and memorises the Identity Code. Remote programming of transmitters with the Certificate and no need for connection to the control unit or to visit client s premises. Using the O-Box interface, connected to the PC or PDA the installer simply needs to enter the receiver certificate in the memory of the transmitter to be activated, to then send it to the user ready for use. On delivery of the first commands, the receiver will recognise its associated Certificate sent by the radio control, which is memorised automatically. Constantly efficient assistance for all clients: The software enables the creation of a database to have constant control of all installed systems. There is also the option of tele-diagnostics via GPRS (thus with no need to visit the premises) to promptly and precisely identify and resolve any possible faults, or modify settings of any system in the quickest, most practical way possible. 95 The innovative Opera system makes easy work in the management of automation systems thanks to remote control from a PC or PDA, via Bluetooth and GPRS. It also enables the user to manage home automations via mobile phone. The Opera system comprises One radio controls and receivers, the multifunction O-View display (available soon), the O-Box connection interface and the communication software. All components intercommunicate by means of BUS T4 or the new O-Code encoding system which guarantees safer transmissions and reduces automation response times. Opera is already compatible with the motors Run, Soon, Ten and Spinbus by means of BUS T4. One transmitters and receivers Equipped with 72 bit O-Code encoding ensuring safer transmissions and reducing automation response times. The implementation of the new transmitters in existing systems is made significantly easier. Each receiver has a code that identifies and certifies it, known as a Certificate: The installer simply needs to enter the receiver Certificate in the radio control memory using the O-Box interface to then send it to the client ready for use. On delivery of the first commands, the receiver will recognise its associated Certificate sent by the radio control, which is memorised automatically. The transmitters are easy to activate thanks to the Identity Code, with no need for installer intervention. Each transmitter with built-in receiver has an Identity code transferable to a new one, by simply moving the two transmitters close together and pressing a specific key sequence. On the first radio transmission the built-in receiver will automatically recognise and memorise the identity code. Thanks to the built-in transmitter, the receivers can also operate as signal repeaters to increase the operating distance between transmitters and other possible receivers. O-Box Interface and O-Box Software Suite The configuration times are drastically reduced: management of all receiver and transmitter parameters, including certificates and passwords could not be simpler, by connecting the intuitive interface O-Box via Bluetooth or USB to your computer, previously installed with O-Box Software Suite. Programming of new transmitters can be performed from the office by connecting O-Box to the computer, to then send the new radio control ready for use to the user. The software also enables the creation of a database to have constant control of all installed systems thus guaranteeing efficient assistance for clients. O-Box manages all settings possible by means of BPUC, MOU, CVU and SMU. It also enables the user to import databases previously created using software for BUPC and MOU to the O-Box Software Suite. 185 Glossary BlueBUS New technology created by Nice for the exchange of data, consisting in the electrical connection of all Nice devices by means of 2 wires without polarity. BlueBUS technology is available on virtually all Nice motors and all Mhouse motors. Home Automation This refers to the series of systems, all integrable and controllable by means of a single radio control, which enable the automation of specific internal or external systems in residential, commercial or industrial environments. MAP MAP (Modular Assembling Product) is an innovative technology that supersedes the concept of the finished product, creating a wide range of personalised products through the assembly of complimentary and interchangeable parts. Nice Door This comprises all products for the automation of garage doors and rolling doors for residential and industrial buildings. Each automation system comprises a set of products (varying according to user requirements) grouped in the following families: radio controls, motors, control units, photocells, receivers, flashing lights and accessories. Nice Gate This comprises all products for the automation of gates and road barriers for residential, industrial and commercial buildings. Each automation system comprises a set of products grouped in the following families: radio controls, motors, control units, photocells, receivers, flashing lights and accessories. Nice Screen This comprises systems and products for the automation of awnings, rolling shutters and solar screens for residential, industrial and commercial buildings. Each automation system comprises a set of products grouped in the following families: radio controls, tubular motors, control units, climatic sensors and accessories. NiceWay New and complete radio control system for the management of all Nice automations controlling awnings, rolling shutters, solar screens, gates and garage doors from any point of the home. The NiceWay system is based on a series of eleven transmitter modules with particularly compact dimensions (6cm 3 x 8g) which can be inserted in five different support models (desktop, wall-mounted or portable) varying in design, colour, form and dimensions to offer a highly varied range of tailor-made solutions. The NiceWay system adopts MAP technology. NRC The Nice Radio Connection (NCR) system uses transmission via radio to simplify installation, programming and the use of all automations. This solution avoids the costs and time-consuming building work, and the application of unsightly ducting for the routing of control cables, to make for much simpler and economic installation of all automations in new or renovated buildings. The system comprises portable or wall-mounted controls, climatic sensors and gearmotors. Rolling Code This refers to the encoding technique used in high security radio control systems or in general for safe communications (encrypted). The digital encoding method for communication between devices varies constantly, making interception and decoding by listening third parties impossible, as the code and relative sequence of variability is unobtainable. In radio control systems, the variable code encoding system solves the listening problem of recording and subsequent transmission of the code (operation possible with scanners, instruments commonly used by radio amateurs), an operation that would otherwise be possible if the code was not variable. *.
