3 Investment partner Zakłady Azotowe PUŁAWY S.A. have been the leader of the Polish fertilizer and chemical industry for 50 years. The company's location in Central Europe (Central-Eastern Poland), allows the company to have its presence on both the demanding EU market as well as other dynamically developing world markets. The company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since October In 2011, PUŁAWY acquired the Gdansk Phosphate Fertilizer Factory "FOSFORY" Ltd. In January 2012 PUŁAWY acquired the Chorzów Chemical Plants AZOTY - ADIPOL S.A. In April 2013, following the initiative of the Ministry of Treasury, the Puławy capital group and the Tarnów capital group completed their consolidation into a single capital group, bearing the name GRUPA AZOTY, which, apart from the companies mentioned above, is composed of the following business organizations: GZNF "Fosfory" Gdańsk Sp. z o.o. (ltd. co.) and Nitrogen Plant Chorzów S.A. (joint stock company), being part of the Puławy group, as well as of Chemical Industry Plant Police S.A. and Nitrogen Plant Kędzierzyn S.A., being part of the Tarnów group. Sustainable development Zakłady Azotowe PUŁAWY S.A. core activities include the implementation of sustainable development principles, such as: Economic performance - oriented at the profit for the community and taking social and environmental costs intoconsideration, care for the environment - which assumes, apart from the protection of natural resources, a regular minimisation of the impact on the environment as well as engagement in promoting information openness and ecology education by implementing such initiatives as the international,"responsible Care" Programme, social balance - which manifests itself in active undertakings oriented at increasing the local community's quality of life and participation in its sports, cultural and educational life. With the policy created and conducted in such a way, PUŁAWY aims at reconciling the need to achieve satisfactory financial results with a deep care for the neighbouring community and natural environment. The implementation of the international,"responsible Care" Programme is an important element of pursuing these assumptions. Participation in this programme proves PUŁAWY's deep and voluntary engagement in effective activities, which ensure the implementation of eco-ethics principles, improvement of working conditions, increase of safety of production installations operation and regular contact with the surroundings. 4 Investment partner The Company's strategy is to implement a comprehensive development program. The amount of capital expenditure in the fiscal year 2012/2013 was more than PLN 293 million, whereas in the last four fiscal years, the Company's capital expenditure exceeded PLN 1 billion 241 million. In the financial year 2010/2011, the Company launched a modernized oxygen - ammonia - urea project and therefore raised its annual production capacity of urea from tonnes up to thousand tons. As a consequence, further investments are planned in the SEZ - Pulawy Subzone - construction of two installations to produce innovative urea- and ammonium sulphate- based fertilizers; PULASKA - an installation to produce liquid fertili- zers; PULGRAN S - a currently on-going investment aimed at installing a device to produce granular fertilizers. In 2014 the Ammonia Storage the strategic undertaking for GA ZAP with investment outlays of PLN 95 million was completed. In terms of pro-environmental activities, the last three financial years resulted in reconstruction of CO 2 removal installations from ammonia to gas synthesis and construction of the largest proecological investments in the history of the Company - an installation process of a flue gas desul-phurisation plant that is worth PLN 250 million.
