6 2010 Despite the crisis we invested PLN 270 m Twin ladle furnace in Dąbrowa Górnicza Investment of nearly PLN 120 m Processing in ladle furnace allows to increase parameters of quality steel used by automotive, construction and household appliances industries. Strip surface inspection system in hot strip mill in Kraków Investment of PLN 2 m Software recognising possible defects and faults significantly increases control over product quality and allows to decrease volume of scrap appearing during visual inspection of production line.

9 We carry on investing Coke gas cleaning installation in Kraków New, waste-free technology of cleaning coke gas enables us to produce sulphur with a purity of 99,9% and eliminate hazardous substances from the process;the installation meets the requirements of BAT (Best Available Techniques) Cost: PLN 100 m New torpedo ladles for transport of hot metal to Kraków s steel plant Replacement of the open ladles significantly reduced heat losses during transportation, thus eliminating the need to heat the hot metal at the steel plant; the investment also resulted in significant reduction of carbon dioxide emissions Cost: PLN 36 m

10 We carry on investing Long rail project (120 meters) This strategic project will contribute to the modernization of Polish railway infrastructure Due to lower number of joints between rails it will significantly improve safety in railway transport. ArcelorMittal Poland is one out of three companies in the world producing the long rail Cost: PLN 140 m ArcelorMittal is a bold company, not afraid to take up new initiatives. 11 We carry on investing Sheet piles service centre in Dąbrowa Górnicza The project focuses specifically on growth with the aim of strengthening ArcelorMittal Poland s position both within the group and in the external market. The service centre, which has an annual capacity of 85,000 tonnes, provides a handling system for pairing, crimping and cutting sheet piles. The decision to create it was based on high market demand for new types of piles. Cost: EUR 14 m
