5 About this document This document contains instructions on using Flexit MagiCAD plugin. Installing the software Required third-party software Flexit MagiCAD plugin works with the following MagiCAD for AutoCAD versions MagiCAD and AutoCAD MagiCAD and AutoCAD Installation 1. The installation package is available at Progman s website Flexit 2. Install Flexit MagiCAD plugin The 32-bit version of the program is installed by running the installation program (includes both calculation software and plugin) Flexit msi The 64-bit version of the program is installed by running the installation programs Flexit msi and Flexit MagiCAD plugin bit.msi Administrator privileges are recommended for installation. Note if you have several AutoCAD versions on your workstation: Before you run the installation program, start MagiCAD to make sure that Flexit MagiCAD plugin installs on the same AutoCAD platform as MagiCAD. $Run CUILOAD or MENULOAD in AutoCAD, and browse the customization file from the directory where you installed the program (by default, the directory is C:\Program Files\Flexit).$

6 Starting the program Before you start using Flexit MagiCAD Plugin, start MagiCAD and open a Ventilation project. Run CUILOAD or MENULOAD in AutoCAD, and browse the customization file from the directory where you installed the program (by default, the directory is C:\Program Files\Flexit). When you first time start using Flexit MagiCAD plugin you need to load the customization file (FlexitMagi.cuix) manually. When you click Load, Flexit toolbar appears on the desktop. and ribbon Next time you use AutoCAD, the customization file is automatically loaded. 2 Flexit MagiCAD plugin

From version 2013.3.1 there is possibility also to export duct heater to MagiCAD with UNI3 and UNI4 air handling units.

View AHU data Press -button to open Unit s information dialog. In this dialog you are able to see unit data which was exported into MagiCAD from Flexit program.

Values are not updated by MagiCAD calculations. There is no possibility to change any selection, only view. Update AHU unit Before you press -button to update unit, you must connect duct connections and run MagiCAD function Flow summation and balancing for systems. At least one system must be connected and calculated. After pressing update -button, select unit from the drawing and the following update dialog opens. The data which will be exported to Flexit program, as a new default data, is presented in this dialog as follows: - Size of the editable unit - Supply and extract air flows from MagiCAD as follows: Air flow values show the biggest airflow value in supply air (supply or outdoor system) and the biggest airflow value in extract air (extract or exhaust system). - Pressure drop values from MagiCAD as follows: Pressure drop values are summation of total pressure drops in supply & outdoor and extract & exhaust systems. Note! Possible kitchen hood connection in the middle of the unit is always shown but it is not taken account when updating data to program. With Open Flexit project -button user is supposed to open Flexit program project file where the editable unit is saved. The list of units in selected project is presented in dialog and user selects the editable unit. 6 Flexit MagiCAD plugin

Update AHU unit Before you press -button to update unit, you must connect duct connections and run MagiCAD function Flow summation and balancing for systems.

11 Flexit program opens and calculated values from MagiCAD are as input values. You may change values and selection. Calculate unit again and click MagiCAD export button to update the unit in MagiCAD. If only input values of unit were changed and unit is remained the same, click Export to MagiCAD and update unit. Sound data will be updated into MagiCAD. If unit has been changed, use function Export to MagiCAD and replace unit. Old unit and duct connections will be removed from MagiCAD drawing and new unit will be inserted into drawing. Flexit MagiCAD plugin 7

If only input values of unit were changed and unit is remained the same, click Export to MagiCAD and update unit.
