4 INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING ONEDRIVE FOR BUSINESS FOR MAC OS X OneDrive for Business is a cloud-based file storage system that can be configured to work with a variety of devices. On your home computer, you can configure OneDrive for Business so that your library syncs on all your devices. Files that you save to the OneDrive for Business library on your computer will be automatically synced to the cloud. Files that you save to the cloud version of OneDrive for Business will also be synced to the library on your computer. Complete these steps to configure OneDrive for Business on your home computer. 1. Open a web browser and navigate to the OneDrive for Business for Mac download page University of Southern California. 5 2. Select the Download option to download the.dmg file. A dialogue box displays. 3. Select the Save File button. The OneDrive.dmg file will download to your computer University of Southern California. All rights reserved. 4

6 4. After the file finished downloading to your computer, locate the file in your Downloads list and select the OneDrive file that you downloaded. The Installer screen displays. 5. Select the.pkg file from the Installer screen. OneDrive for Business will begin to install on your computer University of Southern California. All rights reserved. 5

8 7. Read the Software License Agreement and then select the Continue button. The Install Location screen displays. 8. The Install Location screen displays the location to which OneDrive for Business will be installed. You can accept the default location (recommended) or you can choose a different location. Select the Install button. You will be prompted for your login credentials University of Southern California. All rights reserved. 7

9 9. Enter your login credentials in the appropriate fields. Your login credentials are the username and password with which you log into your computer. After entering the appropriate information, select the Install Software button. OneDrive for Business will finish installing on your computer. 10. After OneDrive for Business finishes installing, it will begin to configure the application on your computer. Select the Getting Started button to continue University of Southern California. 10 11. You will be prompted to enter your login credentials to verify your OneDrive account. Enter your USC address and the corresponding password in the appropriate fields. 12. Select the Sign In button. Your login credentials will be verified. Next, OneDrive will prompt you to choose a OneDrive for Business folder location University of Southern California. 11 13. Select the Choose OneDrive for Business Folder Location button, located at the bottom of the screen. A screen displaying the default location for your OneDrive library on your computer displays. 14. If you want to change the location of the OneDrive library, select the Change Path button. If you want to keep the default location, select the Next button University of Southern California. All rights reserved. 10

12 15. The location of your OneDrive library is displayed. Select the Choose this location button to select the location displayed as the location for your OneDrive library. 16.
