2 1. Basic Charges In accordance with the Katowice Airport list of tariffs (31 December, 2008), aircraft landing fees and departing passenger charges are calculated in increasing increments throughout the annual settlement period. Upon exceeding a given bracket with regards to the number of landings or departing passengers, fees are reduced. The more operations airlines perform Annual number of departing passengers Charges per departing passenger [PLN] up to more than in a given year and the more passengers they transport, the less they pay. Landing fees for aircraft with a MTOW greater than 2 tons, as well as departing passenger charges are provided in the tables below. Discounts passenger traffic Regular traffic In terms of regularly scheduled traffic, discounts are based on the number of landings between the 1st and the 15th day of every calendar month, and from the 16th day to the end of a given month. Discounts are granted on the both landing fees and departing passenger charges. Discounts rates and ranges are provided in the table below. Long-distance flights are granted a 50% discount on landing fees and departing passenger charges.
4 3. Discounts cargo traffic Discounts are available for the transfer of cargo directly associated with the transport of goods or mail by aircraft with a MTOW of up to 55 tons. Discounts are offered on the basis of the number of landings in a calendar month as per the following table. 5 4. New Connections, Base airport new connection A new connection in both regular and charter traffic is one which fulfils the following conditions: 1. Is not an existing connection from Katowice Airport at the time of its introduction. 2. Had not been introduced by the same carrier in the 12 calendar months preceding its introduction. New connections in both regular and charter transport are offered discounts on landing fees and departing passenger charges for a period of 48 months. Discounts are provided in the table below. Base Airport Air lines, which official civil aviation documentation shows carry out the maintenance of at least three aircraft, may apply to have Katowice Airport as its base airport. Operators for whom Katowice Airport is a base airport are exempt from the following charges: 1. Aircraft parking. 2. Services for tanking or de-tanking procedures. 6 5. Joint-marketing We offer joint-marketing services: 1. PR support for new routes, including press conferences as well as other activities aiming to provide information for the media and passengers. 2. Promotional activities incorporating the airport s website, in-terminal advertising (banners and LCD screens), advertisements in the airport magazine etc. 3. Working in close conjunction with representatives of local businesses and tourist organisations 4. A system of financial incentives for operators wishing to open new routes from Katowice Airport. 5. Distribution of promotional materials at tourism fairs with the participation of Katowice Airport.
