2 1- General information about the host city and country The World Fencing Championship Cadet/Junior 2016 will be held in Bourges (France) from 1 to 10 April The competition will take place on two sites: the CREPS and the Palais des Sports du Prado. 4 3- Visa applications Most foreign citizens need a visa to enter the Schengen area. Visa applications are the responsibility of participants, who must follow the procedure set forth by the French embassy or consulate in their country of origin. Delegations are due to arrive in Bourges from Sunday 27 March 2016 and leave on Tuesday 12 April 2016 at the latest. Access to the competition sites is secured and checked by security guards. The badge will give you access to the competition and press areas. Badges may not be lent to any third party or used to allow access to any non accredited third party to the competition sites. Badges will have the holder's photograph. You must therefore send an identification photograph (passport format) as soon as possible and by 25 March 2016, when you apply for accreditation with the FIE Press accreditation form Please go to to register online. 5.3 Accreditation centre Upon arrival, media and press professionals are requested to go to the accreditation centre. The Organising Committee will confiscate badges in the event of unauthorised or excessive use. 6 - Media services 6.1 Media areas Upon arrival, media and press professionals must go to the accreditation centre at the CREPS of Bourges, 48 Avenue du Maréchal Juin, Bourges France. Press Conference for the Opening of the Bourges 2016 World Fencing Championship Cadet/Junior An official press conference for the opening of the Bourges 2016 World Fencing Championshing Cadet/Junior will be organised by the Organising Committee. We will notify you of the date as soon as possible. Results Every day, the programme will be posted at the reception of the CREPS and will be available to all. A copy of this information will also be posted in the press room. Photographers Photographers will have a dedicated space on the competition sites. Any equipment is under the responsibility of its owners. The Organising Committee accepts no responsibility for any damage or loss of equipment. The number of photographers is limited to 7 per match and per venue. Ceremonies Opening ceremony The opening ceremony will be held on Friday 1 April at the Palais des Sports du Prado with flag presentation, official speeches and festivities. Medal presentation The medal presentation ceremony will take place every evening after the finals at the Palais des Sports du Prado. Athletes will be given a medal, a diploma, and flowers from our partner Monceau Fleurs. The winner's hymn will be played in the stadium and the finalists' flags will be raised.

10 Closing ceremony The closing ceremony will be held at the Palais des sports du Prado on Sunday 10 April.
