9 NAPTON SHOW CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Condition 1. Condition 2. Condition 3. Condition 4. Condition 5. Condition 6. Condition 7. Condition 8. Condition 9. Condition 10. The right is reserved to refuse any entry, cancel or to alter the programme. The Judge s decision will be accepted as absolutely FINAL for the results of ALL EVENTS. The Committee will not be held responsible for any accident to competitors, horses, spectators or vehicles or any other property on the showground. No receipt for entries will be sent. Should Exhibitors wish to receive their numbers before the Show Day, a large stamped addressed envelope must be enclosed with the entries. No entries by telephone or fax. Any person riding on the show ground to wear a hard hat and correct riding boots. No motorised bicycles or quad bikes to be ridden on the show ground except by officials. Spurs/Dress Spurs must NOT be worn in any pony classes Handlers of colts/stallions must be 12 years and over. For showing in hand classes all handlers 16yrs and under MUST wear hard hats. All other handlers to be appropriately dressed. THE SIDE SADDLE ASSOCIATION Class 10 The Side Saddle Association Equitation Championships Open Qualifying Class Run under S.S.A. Rules defined in the current Members Handbook. Open to SSA Members and Non-Members. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3 rd Adult and 3 rd Junior places and SSA Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed Member aged under 14 on 1 st January of the current year. Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the Adult Member and Manor Grange Stud Show Centre to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out. Class 11 Side Saddle Concours d Élégance The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse and rider. Attention may be paid to the rider s personal appearance but detailed inspection of rider or tack is not required. Fancy dress or period costume is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the Judge may ask groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays. 4 Special rosettes will be awarded to the highest placed Adult Members wearing a silk hat, bowler hat, safety hat and the highest placed Junior Member of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Cards. N.B. Silk hats are permitted to be worn by Adults IN THIS CLASS AT ANY TIME OF DAY. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk. Class 12 Best Horse or Pony Ridden Side Saddle Open to horses and ponies 4 years old or over: confirmation & manners will be taken in to consideration; horses/ponies will not be stripped. A Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Cards. Class 13 Side Saddle COSTUME Concours d Élégance The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/pony and rider, and the way of going of the horse/pony. Safe tack must be used. Detailed inspection of the rider s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. 10 EQUIFEST QUALIFIERS 2015 The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship to be held at the East of England Showground on 12 th 16 th August 2015 Classes 1, 2, 3 & 4 - THE BOYCOTT TONIC / EQUIFEST WORKING HUNTER PONIES Working Hunter Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 153cms. Riders must be the correct age for the animal they ride. Class 5 THE BOYCOTT TONIC / OPEN WORKING HUNTER Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over exceeding 148cms. Riders of stallions to have attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Maximum height of fences 1.14m at the discretion of the judge.. Class 22 - MISS JO BREW / EQUIFEST OPEN SMALL HUNTERS Open Small Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 158cms. Riders any age. Class 24 MR E & MRS SA KYDD / EQUIFEST RIDDEN HUNTERS Open Ridden Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 153cms. Riders any age. Classes may be divided Class 25 - NUPAFEED / EQUIFEST RIDING HORSES Open Riding Horse, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, any height. Riders any age. Classes may be divided Class 31 RCH FARRIERY / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies, registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh A or B. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 9 th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be led by an attendant and shown in a Snaffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only. Class 32 - DRUMACRE HALL STUD / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C and D. 11 BEST OF THE BEST SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 Final to be held at H.O.P.E Supreme Show, Rugby Riding Club Grounds, Ashlawn Road, Rugby, Warwickshire on 16 th August 2015 Open to all qualified horses & ponies to compete for: Best of the Best In Hand Supreme Champion. Trophy, sash & to winner & sash to reserve. Best of the Best Ridden Supreme Champion. Trophy, sash & to winner & sash to reserve. Gold medal to best palomino in each section. The Roundhills Stud Challenge Trophy kindly donated by Mr & Mrs R. Browne. Trophy for the best miniature. Finalist rosette to each exhibit forward for the final. All in hand and ridden champions qualify. If champion already qualified, reserve champion will qualify. If champion & reserve have already qualified then 2 nd reserve if awarded will qualify. N.B. If no ridden championship takes place then first place will qualify. If first place has already qualified then second place will qualify and so on down to third place.
