2 Recognition of GWFI- and GWIT test results as an alternative to Glow-wire tests on finished products According to DIN EN (VDE ), sub clause und for plastic materials GWFIand GWIT tests are required. The VDE Institute will not carry out a glow-wire test on the finished product under the following conditions: presentation of a VDE approval on the required GWFI- und GWIT value for the relevant colours and the preferential values of the plaques Confirmation from the component- / appliances manufacturer that the material is unchanged and is processed in accordance with the processing conditions including recycling material The updated online catalogue of VDE-certified products including the certified plastic materials can be found under (search for material testing).
