Designed to transfer liquid, solid and gaseous products (except liquid gas and steam). Used in reloading applications in petrochemical, chemical and food industry. TW coupling consists of MK part and VK part. Both parts are locked together by a turn of the couplings and then secured by a locking handle. The handle prevents turning and uncoupling of the parts. A plug VB (for MK part) and a cap MB (for VK part) are resistant to pressure. If the installation operates constantly under pressure, it is required to use safety locks. The main seal for this type of coupling is GSD moulded seal as a standard (TWO O-ring for 4 ). There is TWF flat seal (TWO for 4 ) used in MB caps. TWF seal can be used instead of GSD. The thread is sealed with GD flat seal. Standard seals are supplied with couplings. Seals made of other s are also available (see the table). When selecting a proper coupling for the medium it is required to check the corrosion resistance of its, sealing and temperature impact. 2 There are two versions of TW couplings available: - couplings made by Roman Seliger (EN ISO ), designed for the most demanding industrial applications, available with 3.1 certificate on request, manufactured to the highest quality standards. Marked with a standard code e.g. TW-MKV-050MS. - ECONOMY - economical version of couplings, for general industrial application. Marked with a code with the letter X added at the end, e.g. TW-MKV-050MSX. VK and MK part of a coupling have BSP female threads whose size corresponds to the size of the coupling (2, 3 and 4 ). They can be mounted on fittings with matching BSP male thread: - KRS fittings designed for rubber and plastic hoses, assembled with RS safety s, matched to the hose diameter and wall thickness, - KKW fittings designed for rubber and plastic hoses, assembled with worm-drive s, - VSL fittings with BSP male thread designed for rubber and plastic hoses, supplied as a set with RS aluminium safety s, - DT-KGZ-... composite hose fittings, - TB-AF1-... steel hose fittings, - other fittings and adaptors with adequate BSP male thread. VKS2 and MKS2 couplings are supplied as a set with RS aluminium safety s. VKS1 and MKS1 are one-piece couplings with an integrated hose fitting (no threaded connection). Supplied as a set with RS aluminium safety s. VKS1 couplings have KSR polyamide safety ring. VB plugs and MB caps are supplied without a chain that links each of them with proper coupling part. KN chain must be ordered separately. There are no tools needed to join the coupling parts (MK with VK).
