This spreadsheet contains all the numbers you purchased for USA and Canada, which is all we need to make labels for you. If you live in Europe or other countries, then you must use the EAN Spreadsheet. We don t need any artwork, we just need the numbers. Many customers like the product description on the label to ensure that the label is associated with the correct product. Remember, for each different product you have, different color variations, different size variations, you must use a different barcode number. There are NEVER any set-up charges. You pay only one LOW PRICE, what you see on our price lists enclosed plus freight. When scanned, the 12 digits under the UPC-A barcode is read or the 13 digits under the EAN-13 bar code is read. That s it!! Now, how does my information become associated with my barcode numbers? You give the barcode information (as a product list) to your vendor, retail store or re-seller. (This should include the Product Description, Barcode Number- 12 digits for UPC, and maybe their cost or suggested retail price. This information should be on your product list.) They (your vendor, retail store or re-seller), will enter each barcode number in their database, associate their selling price with the barcode and enter the product description. Your same barcode number, when scanned in 5 different stores, could potentially have 5 different prices associated with it, depending on what each individual retail store sells them for. The information is in the retail stores database, not in the barcode you purchased. You decide what barcode goes with what product. Once decided, it s forever for that product. Don t use that barcode number for any other product except the product YOU assigned it to.
