26 OPEN 2.8 Disaster Recovery as a Service Pricing is based on the resources consumed when disaster recovery (DR) is invoked (compute, operating systems, storage and connectivity charges) and when DR is not (storage and connectivity). Skyscape offers two service options, whose price varies according to the customer's individual requirements, such as number of VMs, size, storage, RTO and RPO. Option 1 Suitable for solutions requiring a very short RTO. With this option, storage is local to the compute environment. Customers need to follow these steps: 1. Calculate the potential storage charges by estimating storage requirements and taking into consideration the various backups and snapshots needed Additional charges Basic storage (Primary storage only) 0.53 / GB / month 50 / VM / month 2. Calculate the potential charges when the VM is running, for example when DR is invoked. Please refer to the Pricing for Compute in section 2.1 Option 2 Suitable when a longer RTO can be tolerated. The storage used is our Cloud Storage solution which requires data to be moved to the compute environment when DR is invoked. VMs may be required to act as the end point to which data is replicated. Customers need to follow these steps: 1. Calculate the potential charges by estimating what their storage requirements are and take in to consideration the various backups and snapshots Additional charges Basic storage (Primary storage only) 0.53 / GB / month 50 / VM / month 2. Calculate the potential charges when the VM is running, i.e. when DR is invoked. Please refer to the pricing for Compute in section Basic Managed VM This service is in addition to any charges accrued by the underlying VM. There are two service purchase and consumption types, described below. Bespoke work or contract terms can be discussed to accommodate requirements not met by these options.
