1. Cloud economics Overview One of the core benefits of true cloud services is the utility price models that they are based on. This pricing is designed to facilitate new levels of agility, flexibility and scalability in stark contrast to traditional solutions. In order to take full advantage of the benefits of cloud services, it is important that you optimise your solution by considering the following key principles. Key principles Pricing for Virtual Machines (VMs) provided by Skyscape Cloud Services is based on actual consumption (eg per VM per hour, per GB per month, etc.). It is essential that you base your cloud solution on predicted usage rather than your eg predicted peak demand, as you might when specifying traditional solutions. To help you specify your cloud solution, you should consider the following: What is the ramp up period from zero to full utilisation? (eg if your business-asusual solution requires 50 servers and your go-live is in 6 months time, it is likely that you might only need 5 servers in month 1, 15 in month 2, etc). Do all the servers have to run all the time? As VMs are charged by the hour, you can make significant savings by turning off your VMs when they are not needed (eg overnight or during weekends). Would you benefit from an Annual Subscription? For those VMs that need to run 24/7, you should consider a 12-month subscription which would mean charges for those VMs will benefit from a discount. Some non-production environments might only be required during certain times of the project/year. So if you only need a UAT environment one week per month, be sure to factor that in when estimating your hourly costs. Are your servers right-sized? It is very easy to increase the processing, memory or storage resources of your servers you may want to start small and scale up as and when you need more capacity instead of starting big and leaving those resources under-utilised. Do you need those redundant VMs? The Skyscape cloud platform offers inherent resilience to mitigate hardware failure and even site failure (at ENHANCED service levels). Be sure you need redundancy at the application layer before you add in the additional cost by provisioning redundant VMs. Do you need dedicated blades to comply with application licensing requirements? Skyscape offers a variety of service options for Compute resources, please refer to the relevant service descriptions for more information. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 4 of 45

2. IaaS: Compute as a Service (Production, Test & Development and Essential) Please review the Skyscape Compute as a Service (Production, Test & Development and Essential) Service Descriptions for full details of the services including a description of service levels, features, requirements and customer responsibilities. Step 1: Select the VMs based on desired size, service level and security requirements Each VM is billed per hour, so if you do not need VMs to run 24x7, please factor this in when pricing and specifying your solution. For example, a VM which is run 8 hours a day, 5 days a week is up to 73% less expensive than running the same VM 24x7. T&D and Essential BASIC STANDARD ENHANCED 2GHz vcpu RAM (GB) Assured Elevated Assured Elevated Assured Elevated Assured Elevated Micro 1 1 (500MHz) Tiny Small Medium Medium High Memory Large Large High Memory Tier 1 Apps Small Tier 1 Apps Medium Tier 1 Apps Large Micro has a fixed 10GB storage allocation (no additional storage can be added to Micro VMs) and a single 500Mhz vcpu. Cloud VM Billing Billing is per hour, each partial hour consumed will be billed as a full hour. Whilst a VM is stopped, charges will apply to the persistent storage/backup element of the service. The monthly charge for storage/backup will be prorated where appropriate. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 5 of 45

If you re reconfiguring or resizing a VM outside the pre-defined templates, pricing will be based on the larger of the machines closest in size to the VM that has been configured machine. The VM charges above are incurred when the VM is running. When the VM is stopped, the storage charges are incurred. When the VM is deleted no charges are incurred. Step 2 (optional): If you require Dedicated Compute, select the starter pack and number of additional units required In addition to the ability to buy compute resources based on a pay-as-you-go pricing model (step 1), you can also rent a dedicated resource pool which provides defined resources on dedicated physical hosts. You can build, configure and manage your environment yourself. This model offers the additional benefits of and ability to: License applications that require dedicated physical hardware such as Oracle or Windows Desktop Deploy whatever VM size you want (up to the maximum allowed) using the resources available within the resource pool Choose the resource contention between VMs to provide greater flexibility between VM capacity and performance Type Specification Assured OFFICIAL Elevated OFFICIAL Starter Pack 20 cores 300GB RAM (usable) 9,000 per month 11,000 per month Upgrade Pack 20 cores 300GB RAM (usable) 4,500 per month 5,500 per month Details of the Skyscape Dedicated Compute services are listed below. You buy this service based on your chosen Starter Pack and can then add resources by buying upgrade packs as and when required. Storage is bought on a per GB basis. Each resource is available only at either BASIC or STANDARD service levels. You can buy a maximum of nine upgrade packs before you must buy another starter pack. The lead time is a minimum of 10 days. The minimum term is 90 days. The cancellation notice required is 90 days. Step 3: Select additional storage and backup All VMs (except Micro) come with 50GB storage which cannot be pooled. If you need more, you will be to specify any additional storage required. Micro VMs provide 10GB of storage which cannot be increased. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 6 of 45

Dedicated Compute VMs do not come with any storage. The storage allocation required can be configured via the Skyscape Portal and API and will be charged at our standard storage prices (ie on a per GB per month basis). T&D and Essential BASIC STANDARD ENHANCED Security domain Assured / Elevated Assured / Elevated Assured / Elevated Assured / Elevated BASIC Storage (Primary storage only) 0.20 / GB / Month 0.20 / GB / Month N/A N/A Optimised BASIC Storage / GB / Month 0.35 / GB / Month N/A N/A STANDARD Storage 1 (inc. 14 day backup) Optimised STANDARD Storage 1 & 3 (inc. 14-day backup) N/A N/A 0.25 / GB / Month N/A N/A 0.45 / GB / Month N/A N/A ENHANCED Storage (inc. replication and 14-day replicated backup) 1 Optimised ENHANCED Storage 1 & 3 (inc. replication and 14-day replicated backup) N/A N/A N/A 1.20 / GB / Month N/A N/A N/A 1.50 / GB / Month 14 day backup retention / GB / Month 0.50 / GB / Month N/A N/A 28 day backup retention / GB / Month 0.75 / GB / Month 0.15 / GB / Month 0.15 / GB / Month 1 Additional storage inherits the same back up and replication profile (where applicable) as the service level that it is bought at within the price. Price is per GB per month. 2 Additional price per GB per month to retain backups for either 14 or 28 days. All storage allocated to each VM must have the same backup policy (no backup, 14 day retention or 28 day retention) partial backups are not supported. eg a VM at STANDARD allocated with 200GB storage will cost 0.15p ˣ 200GB = 30 per month for 28-day retention. 3 Optimised Storage provides a greater write performance profile. This storage: Exclusively uses RAID10 to accelerate write intensive workloads Only uses SSD and SAS disks (no nearline disks) to ensure that even inactive data delivers consistent performance Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 7 of 45

Has a significantly higher proportion of SSD capacity to deliver better performance for active data Dedicated Compute Storage is only available at either BASIC or STANDARD service levels. Billing of Storage/Backup is per GB per month, each partial month consumed will be prorated as appropriate. For Cloud VMs, whilst a VM is stopped, charges will be applied to the persistent storage/backup element. For Dedicated VMs, there is a set fee for the units bought for the month and a variable storage charge. Shared Disk Skyscape is able to provide a limited service to meet Shared Disk requirements this is only available with our Dedicated Compute service. Please contact Skyscape for more information about the Shared Disk service option. Pricing for Shared Disk is included below: The standard Compute and inherent Storage pricing applies to the underlying VMs using the Shared Disk service: A monthly charge based on the amount of storage (price based on service level please see table above) An hourly charge for the VM (based on size and service level). Additional charges apply as specified below for each VM using the Shared Disk service: A setup price of 500 per VM. A monthly price of 200 per VM per month. A charge of 325 per change. This includes items such as adding more storage capacity. Step 4: Select OS and Application licenses if required Cloud VMs Microsoft Windows OS The standard terms and conditions from Microsoft state that if you want to run Windows Server operating systems in the cloud, you must license it via the Service Provider Licence Agreement (SPLA) as per the following table. 21 8. IaaS: Disaster Recovery as a Service Pricing is based on the resources consumed when disaster recovery (DR) is invoked (compute, operating systems, storage and connectivity charges) and when DR is not (storage and connectivity). Skyscape offers two service options, whose price varies according to the customer's individual requirements, such as number of VMs, size, storage, RTO and RPO. Option 1 Suitable for solutions requiring a very short RTO. With this option, storage is local to the compute environment. Customers need to follow these steps: 1. Calculate the potential storage charges by estimating their storage requirements and taking into consideration the various backups and snapshots needed. There's a 50 per VM per month charge plus storage based on the below price. Basic storage (Primary storage only) 0.53 / GB / month 2. Calculate the potential charges when the VM is running, ie when DR is invoked. Please refer to the Pricing for Compute in Section 2. Option 2 Suitable when a longer RTO can be tolerated. The storage used is our Cloud Storage solution which has a lower price but requires data to be moved to the compute environment when DR is invoked. VMs may be required to act as the end point to which data is replicated. Customers need to follow these steps: 1. Calculate the potential charges by estimating what their storage requirements are and take in to consideration the various backups and snapshots. See Skyscape Cloud Storage for more details around the functionality. There's a 50 per VM per month charge plus a storage charge. See the pricing in the Skyscape Cloud Storage service description. 2. Calculate the potential charges when the VM is running, ie when DR is invoked. Please refer to the pricing for Compute in Section 2. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 21 of 45

9. IaaS: Basic Managed VM This service is in addition to any charges accrued by the underlying VM. There are two service purchase and consumption types, described below. Bespoke work or contract terms can be discussed to accommodate requirements not met by these options. 1. By VM With this method, you can identify specific individual VMs to be managed. The price includes routine management of the VM such as backups and updating definitions, plus three hours management time per VM per month where an unpredicted issue or request requires more manual intervention (such as an image redeploy or recovery from backups), with additional hours available for purchase as required. Type Included hours Price per month Additional hour price Minimum commitment Per VM months After three months, this service will continue on a rolling monthly basis until cancelled by the customer. 2. Contractual This method allows you to receive significant discounts by committing to a longer contract period for a quantity of concurrent VMs (in batches of 20). Each assigned VM will be managed for a minimum of one month before management can be assigned to a new VM. 12 Months 24 Months 36 Months 20 Concurrent VMs 46,464 86, ,800 This service can only be bought is batches of 20 VMs. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 22 of 45

10. PaaS: Assured Public Cloud Foundry The service is primarily based upon deployed digital applications coupled with underlying application compute instances required to support the varied workloads placed upon each application. Assured Public Cloud Foundry has been engineered to offer elasticity and true cloud unit per hour billing within the published application space and will be charged by the hour based upon the total amount of memory (RAM) your application consumes; Starter 512MB Application RAM (Per Organisation) Each Subsequent 1 GB Application RAM (or part thereof) Hourly Price per GB Free 0.10 Customers may choose to use a specialist partner for a variety of enablement services; or to use software services which might require licenses or support subscriptions, as shown in the following figure. For clarity, Skyscape doesn't mandate the use of partners or procurement of licenses or support subscriptions. 1. Size the Platform Amount of Application RAM Persistent Storage capacity Connectivity 2. Select your partner Assessments PoC/PoV Agile Software Development Training 3. Licenses & Subscriptions External data services (eg Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Mongo etc) Platform as a Service pricing Step 1: Size the platform Application memory (RAM) each application consists of one or more instances. Instances are used to provide scale and resilience to an application; the number of instances depends on the application requirements. Our service is priced on the cumulative memory your application consumes, rather than on the number of individual instances, with each GB of memory priced at 0.10 per hour. Note: Cloud Foundry data services require additional instances when deployed within the Cloud Foundry Platform. The memory these instances consume will count towards your cumulative application memory, and will be billed as above. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 23 of 45

Storage all instances come with ephemeral, non-persistent storage, and so customers are advised to store their data assets on Skyscape Cloud Storage, which currently starts at per GB per month (see the Skyscape Cloud Storage service description). Step 2: Select your partner (optional) Skyscape provides an open-source Cloud Foundry application platform on which developers can deploy, test and scale digital applications. Customers who have (or are developing) in-house skills and experience with compatible Cloud Foundry development frameworks and services (eg IBM Bluemix, Pivotal CF) will benefit from using Skyscape's Assured Public Cloud Foundry directly Customers expecting a service providing an IaaS or SaaS experience will need to engage a specialist partner to provide training, software development or advisory services. We can introduce customers to partner organisations in our Partner Programme who offer appropriate specialist consulting services in the Digital Marketplace. Step 3: Licensing and subscription (optional) Open-source Cloud Foundry doesn't entitle customers to commercial support; however support is available from the global Cloud Foundry open-source community. Customers who want a commercially supported Cloud Foundry product can engage with a Cloud Foundry consultancy (eg AnyNines, CloudCredo, WTG) or commercial vendor (eg IBM Bluemix, Pivotal CF), and arrange to deploy their services on Skyscape s IaaS platform. 25 11. PaaS: Private Cloud Foundry This service is based on deployed digital applications coupled with underlying application compute instances required to support the varied workloads placed upon each application. Private Cloud Foundry is designed to provide the additional assurance of a totally isolated application platform. As the platform isn't shared with other customers, the pricing reflects the fixed cost of providing the supporting infrastructure (the Starter Pack ) as well as an elastic element related to the dynamically scaling portion of the applications (the Application RAM ): Starter Pack (including 8 GB application RAM) Each subsequent 1 GB Application RAM (or part thereof) Assured OFFICIAL Elevated OFFICIAL 2,500 per month* 3,000 per month* 0.15 per GB/hr 0.18 per GB/hr * There is a three-month minimum commitment for the Private Cloud Foundry service. Customers may choose to use a specialist partner for a variety of enablement services; or to use software services which might require licenses or support subscriptions as shown in the figure below. Licenses & Subscriptions External data services (eg Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Mongo etc) Platform as a Service pricing Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 25 of 45

Step 1: Size the platform Application memory (RAM) each application consists of one or more instance. Instances are used to provide scale and resilience to an application; the number of instances depends on the application requirements. Our service is priced on the cumulative memory your application consumes, rather than on the number of individual instances, with each GB beyond the initial 8GB provided within the Starter Pack priced from 0.15 per hour. Note: Cloud Foundry data services require additional instances when deployed within the Cloud Foundry Platform. The memory these instances consume will count towards your cumulative application memory, and will be billed as above. Customers who have (or are developing) in-house skills and experience with compatible Cloud Foundry development frameworks and services (eg IBM Bluemix, Pivotal CF) will benefit from using Skyscape's Private Cloud Foundry directly. Customers expecting a service providing an IaaS or SaaS experience will need to engage a specialist partner to provide training, software development or advisory services. Customers who want a commercially supported Cloud Foundry product can engage with a Cloud Foundry consultancy (eg CloudCredo, AnyNines) or commercial vendor (eg IBM Bluemix, Pivotal CF), and arrange to deploy their services on Skyscape s IaaS platform. 27 12. PaaS: Hadoop in the Cloud Skyscape s Hadoop in the Cloud lets customers scale up HDFS storage resources as required, yet retain elasticity around analytics requirements. The table below outlines the charges for provisioning services on the Hadoop Core Platform Medium nodes Large nodes Assured OFFICIAL per TB hour Elevated OFFICIAL per TB hour Assured OFFICIAL per TB hour Elevated OFFICIAL per TB hour Starter Pack Additional slave node(s) Large nodes subject to availability Pricing in the above table is based on GBP ( ) per hour (a part hour is charged as a whole hour and part of 1TB of Hadoop HDFS cluster storage will be rounded up to the next whole TB). Notes: Storage sizes reflect HDFS cluster storage (already includes three HDFS replicas) Storage sizes are stated as raw capacity and might be slightly less Storage is expanded in 2TB (medium) or 6TB (large) blocks Starter pack includes initial 2TB (medium) or 6TB (large) Management Node 1 (Ambari/Gateway) Management Node 2 (NameNode 1) Management Node 3 (NameNode 2) Slave Node 1 (DataNode 1) Slave Node 2 (DataNode 2) Slave Node 3 (DataNode 3) Hadoop Core Platform Minimal Starter Pack Configuration Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 27 of 45

The minimum starter pack configuration we deploy to provide a production-grade Hadoop Core Platform consists of: 3 x management nodes 1 x Ambari Node, 2 x NameNodes 3 x slave nodes minimal* number of nodes required for three-factor data replication to provide the Hadoop cluster with protected persistent HDFS storage * HDFS cluster storage can be expanded beyond the initial three slave nodes as capacity requirements grow (lead times are shown in the Appendix). To ensure your data is constantly accessible, full hourly usage charges will apply to any provisioned Hadoop node regardless of its state (running, shut down, paused). Analytic Engine VMs Customers can deploy and remove VMs to provide Analytic Engine resources as required. These additional VMs sit outside the Hadoop Core Platform but close to the HDFS cluster. They are based on Skyscape Compute as a Service (Production) and charged accordingly. Analytic Tools VMs Customers can deploy and remove VMs to provide Analytic Tools as required. These additional VMs sit independently from the Hadoop in the Cloud product. They are based on Skyscape Compute as a Service (Production) and charged accordingly. No Analytic Engine or Analytic Tools VMs are deployed by Skyscape as part of the default Hadoop in the Cloud Service. Licensing and subscription (optional) Skyscape Hadoop in the Cloud is powered at launch by Hortonworks HDP. Hortonworks HDP is free to use with no limitations or restrictions, but it doesn't entitle customers to Hadoop support from Skyscape beyond reasonable endeavours. Customers can purchase support subscriptions directly from Hortonworks. Skyscape manages the resources required to ensure the availability of our Hadoop Core Platform service, but doesn't manage the analytics or software stacks that sit above. Unless your organisation has embedded Hadoop expertise and experience, we strongly suggest you purchase a support subscription to help you with support and usage issues not provided as standard by our Hadoop Core Platform Service. Until integration with Hadoop distributions other than Hortonworks HDP is in place, customers can deploy on Skyscape s IaaS and manage their cluster directly or via a partner (for example, customers may deploy PivotalHD TM Enterprise edition on Skyscape IaaS and get support directly from Pivotal ). Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 28 of 45

Selecting a partner (optional) Customers who have (or are developing) in-house skills and experience with Hadoop should be able to benefit from using Skyscape Hadoop in the Cloud directly. However, customers requiring a service that provides business intelligence or data analytics will need to engage a specialist partner to build those layers on top of the Skyscape Hadoop in the Cloud stack. Skyscape can introduce customers to partners in our Partner Programme who offer appropriate Specialist Consulting Services through G-Cloud. Customers may also choose to work with a specialist partner for enablement services; or to use software services that need licenses or support subscriptions. For clarity, Skyscape doesn't mandate the use of partners or the requirement to procure licenses/subscriptions. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 29 of 45

14. SaaS: Sync and Share as a Service There are two steps to pricing a Skyscape Sync and Share solution: Step 1: Syncplicity licenses You need to purchase a Syncplicity licence for each named user of the service. Licences can be transferred between users. Number of users Per user, per month* Annual cost per user On-boarding cost * Syncplicity licences are valid for 12 months and are payable annually in advance. The per user, per month pricing is provided for comparison purposes only. UK academic pricing Number of users Per user, per month* Annual cost 25 10,000 From ,710 10,001 25,000 From ,960 25,001 50,000 From ,210 50, ,000 From , , ,000 From , ,001+ Up to ,210 * Syncplicity licences are valid for 12 months and are payable annually in advance. The per user, per month pricing is provided for comparison purposes only. Step 2: Skyscape Cloud Storage Consider the amount of data you wish to store, and the level of resilience it requires (eg 1GB per user at 99.99% resilience). Cloud Storage is purchased at the following rates. Assured OFFICIAL STANDARD service level ENHANCED service level <250TB TB TB 1,000TB PB Pricing is per GB per month. Document: Skyscape Pricing Guide (SC-GEN-42) Page 31 of 45

Storage is billed each month based on usage so if you haven't used the storage, you won t be billed for it. The storage tier is based on the average consumption at the end of the month, which is based on daily average measurements. For example, if the volume of customer data peaks on one day during the month at 750TB, but the average across all days in the month is measured at 500TB, billing for that month will be at the 251TB 500TB tier rate. Tier is based on the average consumption at the end of the month based on daily average measurements. For example, if the volume of consumer data peaks on one day during the month at 750TB, but the average across all days in the month is measured at 500TB, the all billing for that month will be based on the 251TB-500TB tier rate.
